Guest guest
Here's my attempt to answer my own question regarding seeing a fixed Taurus in the 12th house of a person who I know to be an extensive international relocator... " As a blanket statement, Gemini’s tend to travel more than people with other rising signs. Let’s see how the rest of your chart factors in. International travel has it’s focal point on the 12th house. The sign of this house is Taurus which normally would not indicate much international movement because Taurus is a steady, earthy sign. Bear in mind that Vedic culture considered international travel to be an inauspicious, burdensome thing. Therefore the weaker the 12th House, the more likelyhood of international travel. The ruler of the 12th House Taurus is Venus, and her houses become very weak since you she is retrograde and combust by being too close to the sun. So this indicates that international travel may be forced upon you. The presence of Mars here suggests that the situation forcing your international movement may be related to war, weapons or similar things. Taurus is a Northern sign, so this forced movement will take you northward. Ketu joins Mars here in the 12th - which further strengthens this interpretation. Ketu and Mars have the nature of wind and fire. Therefore they dry and scatter the earth of Taurus. When I look at the 12th house in your 9th Division chart (the chart which pertains to marriage and relationships), I do see a movement sign, Libra; associated with the West and with air. This indicates that the international travel which is not forced upon you will be chosen by you in pursuit of Venus (Music, Art, Pleasure, Marriage), and will move you westward. by nature you are prone to international travel. It will be due to marriage (and perhaps other indications of Venus such as music and art) that you travel westward from your place of birth and by air. There looks to be movement over water as well, because the movement sign, Aries, is in the 11th House (which pertains to water travel). All in all I would say that you don’t get out much. You have a lot of “fixed” signs in the houses associated with travel - but that you do make large scale, international moves that are initially forced by martial circumstances, and later related to art and marriage. The presence of Ketu in the 12th House indicates that you will leave your place of birth and not live there again. "
