Guest guest
Dear Ron, ///Australia elected a new Prime Minister on 24 Nov. 2007. This was a change in government after about 12 years./// Yes indeed, I voted for him! ///An ascendant of early Leo(sidereal) 6 deg . fits the facts about his life quite well./// I agree, it does look promising. Even Moon dasa (in 12th) can be indicative of good foreign relations. His immediate ratification of Kyoto and subsequent reception at the Bali conference supports this... Many thanks for providing this! I shall (very much) enjoy studying the chart. Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com jyotish-vidya ___ - " Ron Day " <ronkar <jyotish-vidya > Monday, December 31, 2007 3:34 PM Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd---Effects of Mars Combustion,, Dear Wendy, Australia elected a new Prime Minister on 24 Nov. 2007. This was a change in government after about 12 years. An ascendant of early Leo(sidereal) 6 deg . fits the facts about his life quite well. Kevin Rudd 21 Sept 1957 Nambour AUSTRALIA 152E57, 26S38 This chart provides an interesting example of an almost totally combust Mars. Not all combustions are created equal. I have listed below some of the factors to be considered when assessing this highly combust Mars. This can be applied to other charts where there are combust planets. Combust planets also provide a clue to rectification. 1. Mars /Sun conjunction --- Orb 17 min. arc. Declination difference 43 min. arc Ancient western astrologers called this “cazimi” 2. The Sun is a benefic for this ascendent so some support can be given to Mars also. 3. Ma, Su and Ju form a Raja yoga (2 trinal +1 kendra lord) 4. Mercury the dispositor of Mars is powerful a. Kendra placement b. Exchange yoga with Sun c. Exalted in navamsa d. Almost stationary at birth. 5. Mars aspects its own sign Aries. This helps offset the effects of combustion One key event in Rudd’s life was when his father died from injuries sustained in a car accident in December 1968. Date of death was 12th Feb 1969. The family was forced to leave their home(farm) within weeks. The family endured “bleak charity” and Rudd experienced a lingering sense of injustice. I found this on ’s System’s Approach site. “Whenever in a nativity a planet is combust, the native suffers with regard to the general significations and the significations of the house ruled by such a combust planet in such a manner that the suffering becomes memorable. It is like a tragedy or a serious setback, during the operational sub-period of such a combust planet.” Mars is the karaka for the 4th house( property ,home) and 3rd house (younger siblings). He had no younger siblings. Most importantly for a Leo ascendant, Mars rules 9th house(father) and 4th house (home). These were both afflicted. Father’s death was in the Ke/Ke period. Ke in 9th house is disposited by Mars. At this time transit Ke/Ra was afflicting Mars. This provides the main clue in determining the correct ascendant. Although the external significations of Mars by karaka and lordship have been damaged the inner qualities of Mars such as courage, ambition, enterprise, passion, self-confidence have been enhanced. This is why Kevin Rudd is now the Prime Minister of Australia. Ron
Guest guest
Dear Ron, ///Mars is the karaka for the 4th house( property ,home) and 3rd house (younger siblings). He had no younger siblings./// According to the two (main) reference points I value i.e; Parashara and Maharishi Jyotish, Mars is karaka for 3rd/6th whilst Moon is karaka for 4th...see below: http://jyotishvidya.com/ch32.htm 31-34. HOUSE SIGNIFICANCE: I now narrate the siginificance of the houses. The first house denotes the soul (and self), the 2nd house wife, the 11th preborn, the 3rd younger brother/sisters, the 5th progeny, and the 7th house wife. It is also said that a planet in the 5th becomes a karaka for wife. The significators of the house in order are: the Sun, Jupiter, Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn. Of course, as we know, 4th governs landed property and as does Mars. However this does not imply Mars as karaka for 4th. This is similar to Sun who, like 10th house, signifies father yet Sun is karaka for 1st whilst Mercury assumes this role for 10th.
