Dear PRANJAL and friends,

Asper dictam of sage Paresara all Nakshatra Dasa(s) are to be based

on the longitude of Moon in Nakshatras.

SOME LATER AUTHORITIES LIKE SATYACHARYA HAD SUGGESTED

THE USE OF MOON OR LAGNA NAKSHTRA WHICHEVER IS STRONGER FOR CALCULATING

VIMSOTTARI DASA. JATAK PARIJAT HAS GIVEN OTHER ALTERNATIVES ALSO.

These later versions does not have the sanctionof sage Parasara and are not

commonly adopted or used.

The Vimsottari dasa is simple to calculate but very dificult to delineate

as it works on six levels and on three main and basic principiles.

Parasara says this is the prime dasa system among all dasas.

One should master the use of this dasa after making through study of

'BPHS' , Laghu Parasari , Madya Parasari , and Varga charts based

on dasa on Moon Nakshtra.

Only then other versions should be tried.

Kindly remember Lagna moves very fast- one deg. in four min.As such

the chances of error are high in Lagna based Nakshtra.I am not

ready to forget that Moon is true ruler of nakshtras that is why , we

have 27 nakshtras.

Dear Pranjal,

Sage Styacharya says if Lagna Bhava is stronger than Moon( Kindly

remember bhava containing Moon is not to be compared with lagna

bhava) , in that case lagna nakshatra may be used for computing

Vlmsottari dasa.

In my humble exprence only Moon nakshatra should be used and this gives

un-failing results.

Zodiac is devided in 27 nakshatras as Moon completes one round in

27.3216615 days.Let not change the basic foundation of Parasari

Astrology.VIMSOTTARI DASA SHOLD ALWAYS BE LINKED WITH

MOON IN ONE WAY OR OTHER .

Regards,
