Hi Vic

I too have a query on this.

Great that you are asking all this.

Let me an example from daily life.

Case 1. A man goes into a royal palace, so he has to behave in a manner which is

approprate for the palace.

Say Rahu in Leo which is Ruled by Sun. So does Rahu behaves according to Suns

wishes.

Case 2. A man knows that there is a Theif in his house, so he isnot able to work

properly, due to stress.

Say Rahu in Leo which is Ruled by Sun. So Sun feels stressed out, due to

presence of Rahu in his house.

I gut feel that the case 1 is more applicable. Rahu would work as per wishes of

Sun when he is in leo. (speaking in human terms)

In any case, will Sun feel the effect of Rahu, since Rahu is in Leo? (assuming

Sun has no aspect or conjuction from Rahu otherwise)

Regards

Rajeev

Dispositors and Nakshatras

Esteemed Members,

The significance of two factors: " dispositor " and " nakshatra " has

recently come to my attention and I would like to discuss and clarify

further.

The " Dispositor " is the planet who owns that house which the owner of

another house lives in. Examples for Aries rising:

- If Mars is in the 2nd House, then Venus (owner of Taurus) is the

" Dispositor "

- If Mars is in the 3rd House, then Mercury (owner of Gemini) is the

" Dispositor "

- If Mars is in the 4th House, then Moon (Cancer) is the " Dispositor "

Is this correct so far?

Hoping so, I have my next question - - - how significant is the

Dispositor to the karma of the House? For example, Aries Rising, Mars

in second house... Let's asses the Ascendant...

1) Primary importance is the position and condition of Mars, OWNER of

the ascendant

2) Secondary importance is the position and condition of Venus,

DISPOSITOR of the ascendant

3) Tertiary importance are the OCCUPANTS, if any, of the ascendant

4) Fourth-er-ly =) importance are ASPECTS upon the ascendant

would you agree? or would you modify this? or is this " apples and

oranges " ?

~~~
Next topic, Nakshatras.. .
How significant is a planet's nakshatra position in determining its
disposition and nature in a horoscope?
1) Primary importance is the sign position
2) Secondary importance is the aspects
3) Tertiary importance is the house position
4) Fourth importance is the nakshatra?
Would you edit and reorder this list according to your opinion?
Thank you!
Vic
Dear Vic,
//The " Dispositor " is the planet who owns that house which the owner of
another house lives in.//
Yes, this is correct! The dispositor (lord of the house holding a
particular planet) is extremely important...in several ways! Just as
we're influenced by our environment, so too are the planets...nothing
exists in isolation! A planet placed in a particular sign/bhava will be
influenced by the nature of that sign/bhava just as the lord of that
sign/bhava will carry the influence of the planet occupying its
sign/bhava. For instance people are influenced greatly by the unique
character of the Country they live in, whilst the Country itself reflects
the nature of its people...
Of course the nature of the people vary according to their own personal
environment. Some (obviously) will be more affluent, some will be more
patriotic towards the country they live in etc; This same variation
exists for the planets...each manifesting within that sign/bhava
according to their own circumstances...which we label as their dignity
(exaltation, debility etc). Each planet is further influenced by the
nakshatra he resides in. And, as with the relationship between dispositor
and the planet he disposits, the relationship between the planet and his
nakshatra lord is a unique and binding one...Nothing exists in isolation!
For instance, consider Rahu in the sign of Jupiter and the influence Rahu
may have on Jupiter himself through occupancy of his house...each are
influenced by this relationship! Consider also how this influence may be
adapted depending upon the nature/dignity of Rahu's nakshatra lord...this
of course will modify Rahu's nature, for better or worse; which will, in
turn, be carried by his dispositor (Jupiter)...Nothing exists in
isolation!
//1) Primary importance is the sign position
2) Secondary importance is the aspects
3) Tertiary importance is the house position
4) Fourth importance is the nakshatra?//
If one is baking a cake, it's the combination of all ingredients that
give rise to the finished product. One essential ingredient left out and
you end up with a different cake! How do we determine which ingredient is
most important?...they're all equally important in my opinion!
Best Wishes,
Mrs. Wendy
