Thebook looks very ordinary in shape and style. It looks like a roadsidecheap astrology book. Quality of paper is so poor and printing qualityis also not good that I doubt that it will not last more than fewmonths. I heard that astrologers treat this book as a sacred book, butthe treatment given by BM GOSWAMI to this book is very disappointing. His main theme in the book seems to promote himself and his familyonly. He advertise about this on many pages. Moreover the preface ofthe book is very poorly written by someone very raw in knowledge oflal kitab, no known personalty has endorsed the book.Without a properand powerful preface this book looks very ordinary. A price tag of 375rupees is whopping, for an ordinary paper back book the price is veryvery high. In my opinion, this book is not at all recommended as it isno use to read a book because the word to word translation is not awise idea. Nobody knows urdu language these days, so what is the useof such type of book? Yours FaithfullyRajneesh Mathur Download prohibited? No problem. CHAT from any browser, without download. Guest guest
Dear Rastogi ji and Rajnish ji I have this book by BM Goswami Ji with me, and I can say that content-wise this is the most accurate book in Hindi as far as my knowledge go. The hard work of Mr. BM Goswami and his associates is commendable; every true Lal Kitab follower should respect that. This is true that the layout and paper quality of this book is not up to the mark, but that is a secondary issue for me since the author has done full justice with the original text. He did not try to add even a single word from his own side. Moreover, it is everybody’s right to promote its siblings, if the writer won’t do that, who else will care to promote them? So the outburst of Mr. Rajnish Mathur is unjustified and uncalled for. I also agree with Shri Rastogi ji that we should be more concerned about the contents rather than anything else. No matter how poor the paper quality is, no matter what the motives of a translator are, but Lal Kitab is a sacred scripture and its purity will always remain intact. Lal Kitab is a matchless Granth, and it does not reveal its secret before any Tom, Dick and Harry. Guest guest
If the material written on the pages is a true and correct transliteration, the quality of the paper and printing is secondary. Translation of the conents is not an easy task. the script may be urdu but the spirit is punjabi and has persian words also. at least this gives a correct information about what the author intended to, translating further leads to interrpretations and translators personal views creep in which sometimes make the reader read through coloured glasses. it does not need any endorsement and no one can claim absolute authority to endorse it. but nevertheless it would had been better that goswami ji had been careful about it's printing quality as prabhakar ji had in case of gutka. as far as my knowledge is concerned, a darusti of of the first edition was done by pt ji. don't know whether goswami ji took that into account. may be the cost of publishing or the profits from his earlier publications would have been the reason for cheap quality. i personally know that this book is a result of collective effort of many individuals; if he wants to get the credit for publishing it and promote his family, that is a negligible part. let's hope he gives better treatment to the 1952 edition. kulbir On Fri, Dec 12, 2008 at 8:33 AM, S.B.RASTOGI <astro_mrt wrote: dear rajnish b m goswami is a good auther. we should not give personal comments on any auther in such a way. let him do anything we shud collect informations from books only.which is our main target.
