Guest guest
Dear Jaydoc (?), ///Can you explain what the moon is benefic/malefic, for this nativity./// If you've read BPHS you will know that benefics owning angles do not (automatically) give benefic effects. As this answered your question I didn't feel the need to elaborate. However there are several things that need to be considered before one can reach a solid conclusion. ///the moon - is a kendhradipathi. But it is a natural benefic as it is waxing. so does it suffer from the K dosha...? i read elsewhere that for the moon this principle can be applied less vigorously. is that true from your own experiences...? please enlighten me./// In this instance kendra lord Moon, in nakshatra of 5th lord Sun, occupies a kendra aspected by lagna lord Mars (from 3rd house). Lagna, as we know is considered to be both a kendra and a trikona. No doubt you will be strongly motivated in regards to career, status, position in life etc... ///I share a tumultous relatioship with my mother, which blows hot now and cold soon, alternating between the two extremes. Its a curious phenomenon, and puts me in great confusion./// Mars, aspecting 4th lord Moon in 10th, represents our energy/action, courage, ambition, initiative, motivation, force of character etc.. These qualities can be very helpful in terms of career, but not so helpful/favourable in regards to our relationship with mother where more tenderness, submissiveness (to mother's wishes) is required. ///More than that, with my aquarius moon, and aries lagna,/// According to my calculations you have 4th lord Moon in 10th in sign of Capricorn?? Please give the coordinates of your place of birth. I will order for it rightaway. Can you explain what the moon is benefic/malefic, for this nativity. It is mine actually. a beginner's first tryst with jyotish usually begins with his own nativity, of course...!! Birth time is 9.20 PM IST, 3rd Sep 1979, at Ramanathapuram, near Rameswaram, also called Ramnad, Tamilnadu, India. the moon - is a kendhradipathi. But it is a natural benefic as it is waxing. so does it suffer from the K dosha...? i read elsewhere that for the moon this principle can be applied less vigorously. is that true from your own experiences...? please enlighten me. the Moon is the strongest of the planets in my nativity accdg to Shadbala. so i'm curious to know if it is a benefic or malefic for me. and it aspects my fourth house. I share a tumultous relatioship with my mother, which blows hot now and cold soon, alternating between the two extremes. Its a curious phenomenon, and puts me in great confusion. More than that, with my aquarius moon, and aries lagna, I have a tendency to put career and wealth before family and happiness. all due to that veritable tug of war that goes on in my 5th house, which is too full for its own good. I have read that the fifth house is the house of karma that is ours to perform in this birth... looks like I, for one have plenty to do for my own good in the future rebirths...!! Guest guest
PS: Another important point is Mars relationship with Moon. Naturally neutral to Moon, Mars has become Moon's temporary enemy due to his position in 6th (from Moon). Basically this suggests that those governed by Moon i.e., mother, females, general public etc., may oftentimes suffer the brunt of Mars aggressive nature. NB: Moon has the qualities of softness and nurturing whilst Mars has the qualities of courage and ambition. _____ Dear Jaydoc (?), ///Can you explain what the moon is benefic/malefic, for this nativity./// If you've read BPHS you will know that benefics owning angles do not (automatically) give benefic effects. Guest guest
Dear jaydoc, You Wrote: ///Help me....? someone...?/// Circumstances have been such (recently) that I've not been able to devote much time to astrology and, unfortunately, this has come at a time when the group itself is relatively quiet, hence your below mail (29 Oct) has gone unanswered. The question of five conjunct planets (along with Rahu) is a complex one as, even though the house itself will reflect the combined effect of the conjunction, each planet in it's own dasa/sub-dasas will need to be assessed carefully. According to some, the conjunction of JU, SU, VE, ME, SA in houses 1st to 6th will yield benefic results. Rahu in the midst of a conjunction can indicate an insatiable appetite in regards to the significations of the house itself as well as the significations of the planets he conjoins. As a very basic example, this conjunction in 5th can indicate an insatiable desire for intellectual pursuits, higher learning etc, etc.. You might find it helpful to read " Conjunction of Planets " by Dr. L.R. Chawdhri. I first of all apologize for that goof of mine...! Of course, my moon is capricorn. I don't know why i said its Aquarius. It is capricorn. and my lagna lord is in 3rd, Gemini. Now that you have my chart, I think that you do realize that for a beginner like me, my 5th house is going to be an enigma, that I may never interpret right. Can you provide me with the key to its interpretation...? Here is my most important doubt. So many planets are combust. The only good aspect on my lagna comes from Jupiter, however Jupiter is in degree 1, in Leo - Bala Avastha. Shadbala of all planets is above the reqd rupas. However I don't know if i ought to attach more importance to shadbala, or Combustion or bala avastha. How bad are all those combust grahas. Rahu is in the house of his mortal enemy, and also is ALONG with him too...! the sun is my most important benefic. However he is eclipsed by rahu...! In turn he turns other planets combust...! Can't make head or tail, no pun intended...! Anyone..?!! Please enlighten me. Is there any clear way to interpret planetary strength, or is it just intuition...?
