Guest guest
Dear Balaji, I have some differences of opinion. Guru has become malefic because of Kendradhipatya dosha. In addition, as you have stated he is neecha in Navamsha. Hence, he is a big malefic for the chart. I thought breasts are represented by the third house. If you see the third house, it gets the aspect of malefic Jupiter and Saturn. Normally, cancer is a result of combined effect of malefic Jupiter and Rahu. Here, Sani is afflicted by disposing Rahu. Hence, 6th lord Sani passes on the effect of Rahu to the third house through aspect. The thrid house is owned by 8th lord Mars. Also, the natural 3rd house is afflicted by Mars. As you have correctly said 8th house indicates chronic diseases. Of course, all these indications are true for 1st house as well. Then why cancer did not affect first house signification? Probably Mercury was able to protect first house significations being a benefic and having positioned in its own sign in Navamsha. But, its position in a dusthana in Rasi is a negative. I agree with your points on 9th lord in 12th and related explanation. I wish a speedy recovery for Uttara. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, If I might interject here for just a moment... ///I thought breasts are represented by the third house./// This may seem somewhat illogical, I know, but I was taught that, although nipples are seen from 3rd, breasts are to be seen from 4th. Having a little knowledge of physiology it makes more sense as the breast refers generally to the front of the chest and (medically) specifically to the mammary gland. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, Stating the most obvious, both 4th lord Jupiter and 4th bhava are afflicted by malefic aspect from Saturn and Mars who are (both) natural and functional malefics in this chart. As we know, physical development (tissue growth etc) is governed by Jupiter who, when afflicted, can give rise to abnormal tissue development (tumors etc). Giving more weight to the malificence of Saturn's aspect is his dispositorship of Rahu. Note also that both Mars and Saturn own 12th from 4th and Jupiter respectively whilst Mars, occupying nakshatra of Jupiter, further owns 12th from Moon who governs (specifically) breasts, glands etc.. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Thanks for the explanation. That was very clear. There was a news item yesterday on an athlete who suffered from breast cancer for 7 years - Jane Tomlinson. I only have her date of birth and not the time. It would be interesting to look at this chart to understand breast cancer better. Jane Tomlin Son - Born on Feb. 21, 1964 in Wakefield, UK. Guest guest
Dear Mrs.Wendy, I was going through this chart late night at 3.00am (Or morning perhaps).Could not complete my assessment as felt sleepy. What little I wrote (which you completed). in this chart, the 4th house as well as the Sign Cancer has to be considered, Now Saturn is already aspecting the Jupiter, Jupiter is also aspecting the Natural 4th house ie. Cancer, as well as the Lord of the 12th house,Sun seated in cancer. Mars is aspecting the 4th house Sagittarius and Mars is already aspected itself by Saturn. Jupiter the planet for inflammation is aspecting the Hot Sun,placed in the cold sign Cancer. Cancer Sign for women depicts the natural significations for breast. (Just like for heart afflictions we consider the 4th house in a chart as well as sign Leo) Jupiter would carry the qualities of Saturn too. Mars is also aspecting this Saturn. The whole chart is dominated by Jupiter,Saturn and Mars. Mars is also the 8th Lord, we have to remember. regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Krishna, > > Stating the most obvious, both 4th lord Jupiter and 4th bhava are afflicted > by malefic aspect from Saturn and Mars who are (both) natural and functional > malefics in this chart. > > As we know, physical development (tissue growth etc) is governed by Jupiter > who, when afflicted, can give rise to abnormal tissue development (tumors > etc). > Giving more weight to the malificence of Saturn's aspect is his > dispositorship of Rahu. > > Note also that both Mars and Saturn own 12th from 4th and Jupiter > respectively whilst Mars, occupying nakshatra of Jupiter, further owns 12th > from Moon who governs (specifically) breasts, glands etc.. > > Best Wishes, > Mrs. Wendy > http://JyotishVidya.com > jyotish-vidya > ___ > > > - > " Krishnamurthy Seetharama " <krishna_1998 > <jyotish-vidya > > Tuesday, September 04, 2007 8:45 PM > Re: Reading of Uttara ji's chart > > > Dear Wendy, > > Considering 4th house representing chest/breast how do we draw > conclusions about her cancer? > > Regards, > Krishna >
Guest guest
Dear Krishna, ///It would be interesting to look at this chart to understand breast cancer better./// Unfortunately it would be difficult to make a proper study of the chart without an accurate T.O.B. ______________________ Contributing Factors: Today, particularly in Western cultures, there has been a marked increase in both breast cancer and diabetes. According to experts strong contributing factors are wrong (processed) food and sedentary (inactive) lifestyle. As we know, Jupiter (particularly in water signs) is a strong kapha planet, and, as we also should know, kapha greatly benefits from exercise. Unfortunately though, kapha types often have a tendency towards procrastination which can throw this dosha out of balance increasing the risk of such diseases as diabetes, tumors etc.. Partaking of wrong food and drink, another contributing factor, can be seen from 2nd house and, as we know, karaka for 2nd is Jupiter. So, in a nutshell, Jupiter himself (under certain conditions) can lead the native towards the very lifestyle that contributes to these diseases. Considering this, what is left of free will? Of course the society we live in today is a big contributor to this dilemma with supermarket shelves filled to overflowing with processed foods, soft drinks etc..
Guest guest
Dear Mrs.Wendy, Probably I used the wrong word. By inflammation I meant, inflammation of the tissue, enlargement of the area in question, which Jupiter tends to expand, as in malignancy. What You have mentioned about Mars and inflammatory diseases is absolutely right. regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Bhaskar, > > ///Jupiter the planet for inflammation is aspecting.../// > > Is not inflammation per se more attributed to Mars? Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, ///Probably I used the wrong word. By inflammation I meant, inflammation of the tissue, enlargement of the area in question, which Jupiter tends to expand, as in malignancy./// I do understand where your reasoning is coming from. However, malignant growths (tumors etc) are not what we'd normally describe as an inflammatory type disease. Tumors (abnormal tissue development) are basically the result of some mutation in tissue development (on the level of DNA) which interferes with the cell's ability to regulate and limit cell division. As per previous mail, there are certain (lifestyle) factors that can contribute to such abnormalities and, in some types of cancers, certain viruses can also contribute. For instance some herpes-type viruses are considered to contribute to the onset of particular cancers. But whatever the contributing factor it still amounts to abnormal tissue development which is associated with kapha dosha. Inflammation as such (signified by heat) is associated with the pitta dosha. PS: Looking at Uttara's chart, it's not difficult to see that there are other health problems for her besides the breast cancer that she's been dealing with for the last 8-9 months or so. Guest guest
Mrs.Wendy, " Tumor " is the word I am not able to remember since last night. I think lack of sleep and other factors are causing loss of cohesive memory, recollection and retrieval. Thanks for taking pains to explain and putting me on the right track. regards, Bhaskar. jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotish wrote: > > Dear Bhaskar, > > ///Probably I used the wrong word.
