Guest guest
Dear All: Take the sun for example. It is Intrinsically a mild malefic. For Sagitarians, it rules the 9th House and thus becomes functionally benefic. How do you personally counterbalance it being malefic from one angle of vision and benefic from another? Take a second example, Saturn is intrinsically very malefic. For Taurus ascendants it is Yogakar Benefic. So how would you balance the two angles: intrinsically it is extremely malefic, but functionally it is extremely benefic? Can you give two or three practical examples or a house/sign placement for each and what that would indicate to you? Guest guest
Dear Vicji, I think or according Prof. Chaudhriji, Planets are only functional malafic when Mooltrikona sign fall under malefic house. As per example for pisces Asc. Saturn,Sun and Venus are functional malefic. I donot know too much about intrinsic malefics. Guest guest
Dear Rickji, By " functional malefic " I mean that the planet is functioning as a malefic due to house lordship considerations. - Vic On Jul 6, 2008, at 2:24 PM, R.P wrote: > Dear Vicji, > > I think or according Prof. Chaudhriji, Planets are only functional > malafic when Mooltrikona sign fall under malefic house. > > As per example for pisces Asc. Guest guest
Dear Vic If we have to make a good sandwich, the bread has to spend time in oven also. Thus Sun, Ma, Su is a malefic in terms, that it is responsible for such areas in life which are closer to a Roasting. But again great accomplishment cannot come without the strength which comes from being hard roasted. Like Henry Ford, roasted till 52 and then created an empire. (if the dates are not too off) What I think, is more important in a Kundli may be see roasting agents and then to see if the roasting will totally burn out the individual or add shining lusture to the individual.after he comes out of it. A person without much Roasting in his life may start to stink real bad as he grows old. Too much punya being consumed in one life. Just my 2 cents, regarding the " benefic " effects of " maelfics " . After a time it is becomes difficult to seperate malefics from benefics and the only thing than can be said is that such and sun opportunity or experience can minifest which the person has to face sometime. Good or bad and what to take out from that the person has to decide with this free will. I think an satrologer should normally not say, that something is good or something is bad. Many great novel writers were severe drug addicts at sometime, over came it and then went on to write master pieces on those themes. Had they never been to jail or suffered what they did, such novels would not be there. Kindly be assured that i am not being critical to what you have written. Just random thoughts. Guest guest
Dear Monica, Thank you for my reply. I already agree and understand thoroughly. This has been my own personal outlook from the very start. However my question is different than what you addressed, unless I am not reading you correctly. My question is.. SUN: Intrinsically malefic, but for Sagittarius ascendants it is a benefic lord of the 9th. How do you personally counterbalance it being malefic from one angle of vision and benefic from another? SATURN: Intrinsically very malefic, but for Taurus ascendants it is Yogakar Benefic. So how would you balance the two angles: intrinsically it is extremely malefic, but by lordship it is extremely benefic? Is the question clearer? Guest guest
Dear Vic I think it goes like this. Lets say " karate " or " kick boxng " is " malefic stuff " . Violence, hard training etc. Now Assuming Sun signifies Karate and thus gets the adjective " malefic " . If Sun is strong and lord good houses, karate skills should come, and probably 9th house would get a boost due to karate or he can have good luck due to karate. Thus an seemingly intrinsic malefic attribute gives benefic results. If Sun is weak and sits in duststhan, some dust would come and try his karate on the native. Malefic giving karate weakness and inviting troubles from karate-strong enemies. or he gets a broken rib and leg while doing karate. Astro Chart of Bruclee etc fighters should be interesting case of malefics giving speed & strength in activities related to them. In that sevent planet in one axis email, Saturn and mars together gives technical or logical outlook. Strength of logic or deductive powers and how far and deep it goes could depends on benefic lordships and benefic aspect of planets or being able to influence some planet or bhavas which is related to mind, thinking, and is strong etc. Else a Saturn-Mars native would turn out to a car mechanic and someone else to be a car engine designer.
