Guest guest
Dear Vic, This is related to muhurtha. When choosing a favourable time to begin any new activity, the tithi (lunar day) has great significance. It's said that such activities commenced during dagdha (burnt) tithi do not fructify. Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___ - " Vic D " <vicdicara " Jyotish Vidya " <jyotish-vidya > Thursday, July 03, 2008 9:25 PM Daghdha Rashi Dear All: What is " Daghdha Rashi " ? Guest guest
Dear friends, If Sun at the time of marriage is in signs (i) 9, or 12, ( 9 means Saggitarius or 12 means Pisces, so on and so forth) (ii) 2 or 11 (iii)1 or 4 (iv) 3 or 6 (v) 5 or 8 (vi) 7 or 10 and the thithi is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 respectively, tithi gets burnt and dosha occurs. (2 means Dwitiya and 4 means Chaturthi, so on and so forth) Regards, C.S. Ravindramani. jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotishvidya wrote: > > Dear Vic, > > This is related to muhurtha. Guest guest
Dear Vic, In continuation to my earlier message: Dagdha Yoga (combination of days and tithi) Week days and the tithis form Dagdha Yoga, which is malefic and is not desirable for good elections (muhurtha) in general and for journey in particular. 1. Sunday and 12th tithi 2. Monday and 11th tithi 3. Tuesday and 5th tithi 4. Wednesday and 3rd tithi 5. Thursday and 6th tithi 6. Friday and 8th tithi 7. Saturday and 9th tithi Dagdha Yoga (combination of days and constellations) Week days and certain constellations form Dagdha Yoga, which is again malefic and is not desirable for good elections (muhurtha) in general and for journey in particular. 1. Bharani on Sunday 2. Chitra on Monday 3. Uttarashada on Tuesday 4. Danishta on Wednesday 5. Uttarafalguni on Thursday 6. Jyestha on Friday 7. Revathi on Saturday Regards, C.S. Ravindramani =============================================== Dear friends, If Sun at the time of marriage is in signs (i) 9, or 12, ( 9 means Saggitarius or 12 means Pisces, so on and so forth) (ii) 2 or 11 (iii)1 or 4 (iv) 3 or 6 (v) 5 or 8 (vi) 7 or 10 and the thithi is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 respectively, tithi gets burnt and dosha occurs. Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Wendy and Ravindramani, Thank you for your excellent information on Dagdha Rashi... does it have any significance at all in relation to a birth chart (i.e. outside of prashna)? - Vic On Jul 4, 2008, at 7:07 AM, ravindramani wrote: > Dear Vic, > > In continuation to my earlier message: > > Dagdha Yoga (combination of days and tithi) > > Week days and the tithis form Dagdha Yoga, which is malefic and is > not desirable for good elections (muhurtha) in general and for > journey in particular. > > 1.
