My comments have been added to a couple of your points, unfortunately time doesn't permit more than this at the moment...another time perhaps. //This person met with a severe road accident on May 6, 2008 but by the Grace of God he survived. (October 16, 1971, 0300 hours, Delhi) The VI house from the ascendant is the house of injury and accident. The I house is the house of the physical body. When there is a contact between these two houses a possibility arises that the individual would get involved in an incident that may cause injury to the body.// To the best of my knowledge 8th (not 6th) is the house of injury/accidents. //In the present case, Rahu occupies the VI house. It is in Sravan constellation of the Moon. The Moon occupies the ascendant. This sets up a contact between these two houses. Further, Saturn owns the VI house and it occupies Rohini, ascendant of the Moon. This too thus makes a contact with the ascendant. Thus there is a contact between the two houses in the birth chart.// Please note that Mars, conjunct Rahu, disposits 4th/8th lord Jupiter. 4th, as we know, governs conveyances...today, this commonly refers to vehicles; and 8th, of course, is the house of accidents/injuries... Also important to note the transit of bhukti lord Saturn, Rahu's dispositor, through lagna. Saturn is aspected by 4th/8th lord Jupiter who has recently turned retrograde, etc, etc.. //The above contact can also mean poor health for the individual unless Mars is involved in this scheme. Mars as we know is a planet that causes accidents and injury. The Sun governs the body. Hence when there is a contact between the Sun and Mars, there arises a possibility of damage to the body. In the present case, the Sun is in Chitra constellation of Mars, and the latter is in Leo navamsha. We also know that the VI house from Mars stands for accident and injury, and the first house from the Sun represents the body.// No, No! 8th from Mars indicates accidents... //A contact between the two houses therefore would bolster the conclusion that the individual would meet with an accident and suffer injuries due it at some time in his life. The VI house from Mars is in Gemini. The first house from the Sun is in Virgo. Mercury owns both the houses and therefore the two houses are obviously related. That the individual would suffer injuries in life is clear from the above analysis. For a vehicular accident, Venus should also play its role. The IV house from the ascendant and the IV house from Venus, both represent vehicles, the latter more specifically than the former. The owner of the IV house from the ascendant has gone to the VI house of accident. The IV house from Venus being Capricorn has Rahu, which goes to the VI house from Mars. Thus the contact between these houses is clearly established. Venus is vehicle and Mars accident. There has to be a contact between these two planets too in the chart. You will notice that Venus occupies the same sign in navamsha where Mars is placed in the birth chart. Thus a vehicular accident is also clearly shown up in the individual's chart. The question remains about the timing of the event. The individual is running the major-period of Rahu which occupies the VI house from the ascendant and being in Sravan constellation of the Moon, it is also related to the ascendant since the Moon occupies the house. Rahu therefore sets up a contact between the ascendant and the VI house. The VI house from Mars is Gemini, where Rahu is placed in the navamsha chart. The Sun is related to Mars as we have seen earlier. Thus the Sun and Rahu are related through Mars. Thus the first house from the Sun and the VI house from Mars are both related to Rahu. Rahu being with the karaka for accidents and injury, and related to the two sets of the first and VI houses, would clearly cause an accident for the individual. Would a vehicle be involved in this incident. Venus is in the same sign in the navamsha chart as Rahu in the birth chart. Rahu is in the IV house from Venus and is associated with the owner of the IV house from the ascendant. Therefore when an accident happens in the major-period of Rahu that is likely to cause injury to the individual, it would also involve a vehicle. The individual should be involved in a vehicular accident in the major-period of Rahu. We can analyse the sub and inter-periods in the same manner and could easily reach the exact date of the accident or close to it. We will not analyse the sub and inter-periods for fear of occupying unduly large space. Would the individual survive an accident that happens in the major-period of Rahu. Jupiter occupies the IV house from the ascendant in Scorpio. It is related to Rahu as Mars, its dispositor is with it. The IX house from the ascendant and the IX house from Jupiter represent good fortune, the latter more than the former. The IX house from the ascendant is in Aries. Mars owns it and relates Rahu to the house. The IX house from Jupiter is in Cancer. Rahu/Ketu being on the Capricorn/Cancer axis are related to these houses. Further, Rahu is in a constellation of the Moon, which owns Cancer. Therefore we find that Rahu would ultimately protect the individual and save him from death due to his good fortune that would be operating in this major-period.// Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___ - " DS Mathur " <mathurastro " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotishvidya Sunday, May 11, 2008 1:35 PM Re: Message not approved: Analysis of an accident So you have visited the site. Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Wendy, May I take the data for the chart of the accident is (October 16, 1971, 0300 hours, Delhi)?. Guest guest
Dear Members, I read both views of Mathur and Wendy. Can anybody tell how to determine from this chart that the native is prone to injury and he is to meet an accident at a point of time. My point is that where is the suceptibility and how to find it out? Regards, Viji jyotish-vidya , " Wendy Vasicek " <jyotishvidya wrote: > > My apologies! Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Wendy, Thanks for having posted the chart in the list though the discussions were primarily between you and Mr. Mathur. The chart in question is a good example for an accident to happen and possessing the inherent quality of divine help or assistance. Regards, C.S. Guest guest
Dear Viji, The possibility of accident, during relevant dasa/transits, can be seen with. 1) 8th lord Jupiter's dispositor (Mars) aspecting Moon in lagna. 2) Moon dispositing Ketu who signifies accidental incidents etc.. Looking at the dasa/transits, the role of Saturn is also clear. Guest guest
Dear Viji, Kindly remember the basics. The general principle of sage Parashara is " any house or house lord has connection with 6,8th and 12th house lords or the said houses, the significations of the house under consideration suffers. The question is accident, injury and wounds. What is accident? Accident involves " suddenness and the obstruction of your movement " . This involves 8th house and 3rd house. 4th house represents vehicles in modern parlance. Third house represents movement and the short journeys. I personally also look at the 6th house for injuries. 9th lord represents the divine assistance or help. In the instant chart 4th Lord Mars from the lagna gone to 6th house. 6th Lord Saturn aspects 4th house. 8th lord Jupiter is placed in 4th house of vehicles. Thus the 4th lord and 4th house significations get blemished. Notice the degrees of Saturn and Jupiter and their mutual influence. Another important point to remember is that since Moon is placed in Lagna, the arguments hold good yet again. Mars is with Rahu, a malefic. The accident took place in RA/SA/SA. Saturn is the house lord where Rahu is placed. Rahu is justified in giving the results in its dahsa. Jupiter empowering Saturn to pronounce the result in appropriate sub period ( he is in the constellation of Anuradha). Mars is the exalted 9th lord. Notice the degrees that how close he is from his exaltation. (other wise, the native is so courageous and determined.) He influences not only the lagna but also the Moon. He has to give the accident and injury and save the life of the native too. Every planet discussed above involves the kendras from lagna as well as from Moon. Find out the role of Venus that is the movement in the chart yourself. See the chart from Venus the significator for vehicles. 4th Lord Saturn goes to 8th house of suddenness and obstacles. Jupiter is the 3rd lord of Movement and 6th lord of injuries. Mercury is the 9th lord who is in Lagna. He holds the 12th lord ship too. The arguments gets reinforced once again and tells the same story. Now analyse the things in Navamsa. I guided you some time ago how to analyse Navamsa. The dasha and transits are intact. This is my way of looking the issues in a chart that you raised. Hope this helps you to understand the chart to some extent. Regards, C.S. Guest guest
Dear Wendy ji, Thank you for your guidance not only on this thread but also on the other threads. Ravindramani ji - Thank you for your detailed reply on the chart. It is really helpful for me. I understand a planet gives its results in its sub periods generally. How do I understand or distinguish when would a planet discharge the results of a favourable house and a unfavorable house during its period. Please guide me when you find time. Thanking you once again the learned members of the list. With regards, Viji jyotish-vidya , " ravindramani " <ravindramani wrote: > > Dear Viji, > > Kindly remember the basics.
