Dear Anand,

Read Vishnu Purana carefully and you will discover that this text was

written by Parasara when V.E.Point was in 1st pada of star Kritika . This

means that this Text was written in about 2000 B.C.

The author of both 'BPHS AND VISHNU PURANA ' is same person

and as such nomniclature of houses was axisting and known to Indian

sages before 2000B.C.

Thus basis of knowlge of nominiculature of houses is in Vadic litrature

and is not of greek origion.

Dear Sanjay ,

Are we not bringing this sandhi breaking to unpractical levels . Kendra ,

Apoklima and panafara are the names directly coming from Greek and had nothing

to do with Indra . You can check it out . I believe one of our group members has

even written a full article on that .

Also these names are really applicable only when you are using the diamond chart

which we have taken from the Greeks again .

Regards ,

Anand

[vedic astrology] ka+indra = Kendra

|| Om Gurave Namah ||

Dear Jyotishas,

We know that Indra rules 10th house. The highest kendra.

kendra can be derived from " ka " + " indra " = Kendra.

Ka indicates smaller or diminutive, Indicates the smaller self. And 10th and

quadrants indicates the smaller Indra in us.

" Ka " also indicates Prajapati or Daksha. Ka indicates the reasons for

creation and indicator.

Indra(inv+ra) means Ruler, To Subdue or Conquer. Indicating the protective

strength needed in the kendras (Note benefics as lord of kendra are not so

good).

If I try to get Indra from Indu (Moon), Then it indicates that Moon creates

the Quadrants in form of 4 tides at time.

Any comments from Jyotishas and Sanskrit Scholars?

-Warm Regards

Sanjay P

Dear Goelji ,

Please check any sanskrit dictionary , including Apte , the terms Apoklima and

Panaphara do not appear anywhere nor does their Nirukta . As per Yaska every

sanskrit word has to have a direct nirukta . Please also see the article written

by Dr. Satya Chaudhary on the group in this regard .

Whether these words are of Sanskrit origin or not does not hold any great water

for me . I am only pointing out that by insisting o n everything getting

originated from our scriptures we are overlooking many other factors and losing

opportunities for studies .

For Example , Guru - people repeatedly on ther group keep saying thaty the

meaning of Guru is Gu is darkness and ru is destroyer , so Guru is destroyer of

darkness or ignorance. From where they get this meaning is a nystery , as

Nirukta does not refer to this at all . But the stone once set into motion ,

continues .....

Regards ,

Anand
