Guest guest
Dear Wendy, It is a pleasure to get the comments from you. You are always on the dot. I have some more questions: 1. The Ketu we are disucssing is in Mercury's nakshtra, who is the lord of 2nd and 11th. Should we then say that the finances and gains would take a beating in Ketu period? 2. Also, as Mars is yogakaraka and since the learned say " Kujavad Ketu " , should we assume that Ketu acts as a benefic in this particular case? 3. How do we ascimilate the fact that Ketu is vargottma? (Is vargottama concept applcable to shadow planets as well?) Looking forward to your response. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, This must be very brief for now...the weekend, you know :-)) You're on the right track re Ketu's connection with finances. Please consider; 1) Significations of 8th Unearned income (legacies, partners wealth, insurance, inheritance etc, etc). 2) Ketu's relationship with 2nd lord 2nd lord Mercury in nakshatra of Ketu; Ketu in nakshatra of Mercury. 3) Ketu's tendency towards the unexpected, the unusual, the extraordinary etc. I accentuate the positive attributes of Ketu due to the YogaKaraka status of Mars along with Mars' aspect on 2nd lord Mercury (who has this affinity with Ketu) and not forgetting Mercury's dispositorship of Rahu who happens to occupy nakshatra of Mars. Having pointed to certain possibilities I'll finish off by saying that, with Ketu, we can expect the unexpected...absolutely! Unexpected change, transformation (metamorphosis) as well as calamities etc., are all attributed to (both) 8th bhava and Ketu.
