Dear Wendyji,

I just read your post and the article you were refering to. I felt so

sad after reading it all. It's a pity that RR even after calling you

" Didi " denounced you in that article. I agree with you in that he

stepped into this group to voice his disagreement. Anyway, it was

totally a dis-respectable mode of conveying an opinion from a 56 year

old man. One could wake up those who are truly asleep; for those who

pretend to be asleep there is no hope at all. He intended to hurt you

and wrote the article as if acknowledge to his expertise on the topic.

To RR,

" All that we are is the result of what we have thought: It is founded

in your thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or

acts with a evil thought pain follows him, as the wheel that follows

the foot of the ox that draws the carriage " .

" All that we are is the result of what we have thought: It is founded

in your thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or

acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him like a shadow that

never leaves him " . ( Taken from dhammapada, the essential teachings

of Buddha).

Regards,

Manasa.

Dear Mrs. Wendy,

I feel really sad at the turn of events,

we have witnessed in last two days. I do not

understand the purport of Shri RRji lifting

a portion of the content from the Home page

of this forum, and then commenting

on it, subsequently posting it

for public view . There are so many factors

and matters on which we may not have

our consent on views of, and with, hundreds of

people, but we do not normally voice them,

as we do not wish to sour our relationships

on small matters, because no 2 persons on the

earth can have alike and identical views on

all matters, so we normally leave ...

I have always believed that RRji is a

harmless soul, perhaps not very much Jyotish

but more of a literary person and given to

exchanges of English poetic, ballad type

language, full of puns, irony and loads

of symbolic meanings, not understandable by

the common folks reading his posts.

But I feel sad, this is the first time

I have seen him hurt someone.

What I have known, which knowledge may

not be right,(who knows?) , is -

That Jamini was a shishya of Parashar Rishi

and he picked up the Jamini part from BPHS and

expanded it, making it another system ,

though being a part of BPHS.

Just like Ashtakvarga is a part of BPHS.

Just like Nakshatra is a part of BPHS

extracted by KP and after adding the

Placidus house system, having

come to known as KP System.

But who can say with surety that Placidus

was not Indian, in the first case much

before the advent of the Dravidians,

lifted by the Westerners and again

relifted back by the Indians after the

precesion of equinoxes part was understood ?

Who can say that the Arabic Horary was not the

Horary of the Yavanas(Rakshasa Clan) who were

present in India in the pre-Aryan period ?

There are so many matters which we cannot

vouch for sure, then I do not understand why

the hype and cry is made out by Parashar

versus Jamini ? And matters to be brought

to such a state ?

I do myself agree to the content on the

Home Page given by Your goodself.

Both these systems cannot be mixed,

or else they would lead to confusions

in any students/astrologers mind.

A small example-

Mars which is considered as Yogkaraka for

the Leo Ascendant as per BPHS, would now

become the Badhaksthanadhipati , if one

views from Jamini angle.

Now what should a Leo native consider

Mars as ? As a Yogkaraka( Fortunes creating?)

or a planet creating badhas

( Obstacles creating?).

Of course these deviations should not create

aversions in mind of a true and good

astrologer to any system, and I do not think

ever, that You Mrs. Wendy have ever kept any

type of antoganism in your thought process

towards any of various approaches to the

scientific study, which astrology is. Of

course you have mentioned this in Blue while

commenting, that You could never think of

Jamini as " Impure " .

Rightly and Nobly said.

I request you not to feel hurt

Mrs.Wendy. There is much in

this world to feel offended about,

we have better and important issues

to look after.

There would be thousands opposing us

for many matters in our journey of Life.

But the flowing water has to move on.

The fragrance has to spread.

The child gone overboard has to be

ignored, and the parents have to keep

on continuing in their respective duties

towards their other family members,

without being disturbed by the

erring child.

Kind regards,

Bhaskar.

Hello Manasa,

To expect loyalty from anyone in this world,

to expect love from anyone in this world,

to expect faithfulness from anyone in this world,

is a fallacy and foolishness.

What anyone else does, good or bad,

is their problem,

what we do,

IS our lookout.

Sorry, I pressed the Enter button by mistake.

Continuing ...........

What we do Is our Lookout.

What they do is theirs.

We must be true to our conscience.

That is enough.

We must be able to hold our

heads high, when we face God,

when the day of reckoning comes,

is what our aim must be.

Forget about this person.,

who has behaved immaturely,

and let us concentrate

on ourselves.

Didi is a common word.

Bahen is a common word.

Bahenji is a common word.

Bhabhi is a common word.

All these words change their meanings

from the speaker, after the dusk, and turn

into other words with other meanings.

So lets be practical,

and let be.....

You are a good soul.

Just let that be....

regards,

Bhaskar.

Rohiniranjan wrote (supposedly from the Home page):

*Parashara and Jaimini are two distinct systems even if the divide between

them is not always clear. Some have attributed to Prof. P. S. Sastri, author

of Jaimini Sutram (English translation), as having stated that much of what

we now know of Jaimini System has been inserted into BPHS and mixing up the

two systems will lead to confusion in the minds of the ‘student’*

He cunningly altered what was on the Home page by adding 'Some have

attributed to Prof. P.S. Sastri'; implying, of course, that these were not

in fact the words of Prof. Sastri. Rohiniranjan is extremely clever at

twisting words to alter their meaning...loose with the truth or a cunning

liar...people can make up their own minds.

Prof Sastri's intent was unmistakable when he stated specifically that;

" The main principles outlined in these Aphorisms appear in the new available

text of BPHS. Chapters 7 to 11, 24 to 27 and a part of the 35th chapter

present the system of Jaimini. "

These are Prof. Sastri's own words and no amount of alteration from RR will

alter the fact. To remove all doubt of this I will upload the relevant page

to the Jyotish-Vidya 'Files'

Dear Manasa and Su,

Many thanks to both of you! I was becoming quite pessimistic that 'truth'

would get buried (once again) under his verbal onslaught. Your (below)

messages are encouragement that at least some have seen through his deceit.

Perhaps Rohiniranjan has unwittingly done Jyotish a service by publishing

his (belligerent) article...

Su, you're correct; 'anger' is such a negative emotion! I was beside myself

with anger last night and consequently got very little sleep.

BTW Rohiniranjan has been removed (and banned) from Jyotish-Vidya.

Dear Wendy,

Though this man was addressing you as 'Didi', his intentions were different

which was seen from the tone of his earlier mails itself. I wondered why a man

who has spent so many year studying astrology and having written so may articles

on the web is behaving in this childish manner. Finally, his true intensions are

out in the open. And, he has shown his true colors.

When we are one among the millions on the internet, encounters with such

characters once in a while is innevitable. I understand your anger. I would have

also got angry with such a mischeif.

Such acts will not hamper the enthusiasm to learn in this list. Let us put all

Dear raj k,

Indeed you're correct, I did walk straight into the spiders web:-(

But never mind, all's well that ends well, and I suppose we shouldn't be too

hard on RR for trying to justify his beliefs. He's invested many years of

his life into spreading these beliefs (through his many articles) and it's

only natural that he would not want to have that proved wrong. I do have

some sympathy for him in this regard.

It's been well over a decade now since I've been speaking out against the

misconceptions put forward by Rohiniranjan, Rath and the like. During the

early days of Gjlist I was under constant attack by gangs of these people,

but I survived :-)

And now, thanks to the recent attack from Rohiniranjan, I might have finally

made some headway in this endless battle.

Re: Belligerent Article

Dear Wendy,

Though this man was addressing you as 'Didi', his intentions were

different which was seen from the tone of his earlier mails itself. I

wondered why a man who has spent so many year studying astrology and having

written so may articles on the web is behaving in this childish manner.

Finally, his true intensions are out in the open. And, he has shown his

true

colors.

When we are one among the millions on the internet, encounters with such

characters once in a while is innevitable. I understand your anger. I would

have also got angry with such a mischeif.

Such acts will not hamper the enthusiasm to learn in this list. Let us put

all this behind and move on with a smile.

Regards,

Krishna

Dear Wendy,

It is a good rejoinder to a sad episode for vedic astrology followers and in

the long rong run it will prevail over all other deviations, strains that

use it in hotch potch ways

vedic astrology concepts can fit any time, age with intelligent adaptations

to the cultrue, governance, climes, if a proper synthetisis is done by a

good observer along with his astrological fundamentals if set on a strong

foundation, those who who seek short cuts or methods can't keep their school

of though beyond a generation as they may be lucky with their gift of GAB

than the subject. as has been the case with numerous schools that came in

the lastfew decades versus the traditional ones.

the Parasari and Jaimini one are genuine systems and if one applies one

school at a time will work for them, mixing them will lead them and rest of

the world to chaos.

with no yogakaraks and shuba planets in any chart.

about RRji

who has show more of his poet, writer sie ingroups than astrology we surely

admire his works and and have failed in repeatedly asking him to show some

side of his astroligcal face too,

he hadtaken on many people from a slant or his own angle than on subjects

but on one occassion that mattered a lot to me, he stood by me when a vested

interest wanted to throw me out of a group this vested interest is active

and more at me in almost every group till now'

I am not sure if the old age is true the more enemies one has one becomes

pouplar, no I had just one that botheres me, to which I rarely react now a

days. just when it is too much step in after reading it in othe'rs mails.

I HOPE ASTROLOGY WILL REMAIN THE CENTER PIECE for all members.

Best wishes

You are right, Wendy ji--let's forget the false

prophets with their phony beards. Please have some

good and well earned rest, and trust always in the

presence of your 9th lord in the 9th--and hopefully,

you will be back, feeling as cheerful as Budha! :-)
