Re: Classics

Kamal,

Thanks for your response. but if I am not mistaken you meant BPHS I

think (sharma vs santhanam and the former being more user-friendly?).

I think Su was really asking about Saravali and Brihat-jataka.

Or maybe I am misinterpreting your post. Is there a translation of

Saravali by GC Sharma available?

For Brihat-Jataka, I use KN Saraswathy's one, but I have seen

advertised another one available too (forget who the translator is).

Now, please tell me something. Does Santhanam's BPHS have the

sanskrit slokas? I am a bit concerned about that one because it has

chapters missing apparently and that seems to have given rise to this

thinking that Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra has had chapters inserted!

Please do oblige by responding.

Dear RR

In Santhanam translation has got sanskarit siloka but commentary of Sharma seems

more appropriate for begginer. But may be the version I have was different

(ranjan) because in the version it keeps mentioning about bombay edition of

chaukhabha ( I went to to the publishers shop in Delhi could not find any thing

in english.
