Guest guest
Dear Vic u got the rules in right order and YES the chances of really getting one neecha is limited, Jyotishya is primarily a science of hope, faith and endurance. There is a special issue of THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE IN SEPTEMBER 1971 OR 72 on it the only point u missed here is the planet causing the cancellation gets the power to deliver the NBRY energy/results in ur example it will be Mars or Kuja as Kuja is the owner of the 4th house. the neecha planets just gets a face lift but the NBRU belongs to the one who gives it a bail the magazine I quoted has several scholars of that time write and is worth reading. Guest guest
Dear Vic and All, Perhaps we should examine NeechaBhanga in a practical way i.e., seeing how it has manifested in (known) charts where there's enough recorded information to verify the effects. One such chart that comes to mind, and should certainly interest you, is Srila Prabhupada with debilitated YogaKaraka Venus conjunct exalted 9th lord Mercury in 9th. Venus occupies nakshatra of moolatrikona Sun whilst Mercury sits in nakshatra of exalted Moon... Note; Venus/Sun exchange nakshatra lords. Srila Prabhupada 1 Sep 1896 (16:00) Calcutta, West Bengal Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___ - " Vic D " <vicdicara " Jyotish Vidya " <jyotish-vidya > Tuesday, May 20, 2008 12:27 AM " Neech Bhanga " - Breaking a Fall? Dear All, I have a question I hope you will be kind enough to shed light on... It concerns " Neech Bhanga " or the breaking of a fall, a.k.a " Cancelled Debilitation " ? Example - Saturn in Aries, house IV Does being in a Kendra (Central house) mean that the Fall Saturn suffers in Aries is broken? Nalini Kanta (Tom Hopke) writes in " How to Read Your Horoscope " (pg. 41) > " The most important situations which bring about cancellation of > debilitation are given below. > > 1) If the debilitated planet is in a quadrant from the ascendant or > the moon > > 2) If the lord of the sign that the debilitated planet is in, is in > a quadrant from the ascendant or the moon > > 3) If the planet that is exalted in the sign that the debilitated > planet is in, is in a quadrant from the ascendant or moon > > 4) If the debilitated planet is in its exaltation sign in the > navamsa chart That gives 25 cases which would cancel debilitation! That seems to make it awfully hard for a planet to be debilitated. Would you kindly chime in to let me know your opinion of this list. Is it too inclusive? Also, what are you feelings on a neech-bhanga planet? My feeling is that if a planet is fallen, it is fallen. Period. If you get a break in that fall ( " neech-bhanga " ) that's exactly what you get, a " break " (as in " gimmie a break, fella " ). Your planet will be harmed, but it wont be as acute as it would have been were there no break in the fall. In that light, 25 conditions that soften the intensity of debilitation seems reasonable. Thanks in advance for your input. - Vic
Guest guest
What do you mean by NBRY? AAAAAAH - Neech-Bhanga Raja-Yoga???? Are you saying that if Saturn is in Aries in the IVth we can give it a " face lift " - i.e. give it back the positive potency it would have lost if it was truly neecha? Now you say: > the only point u missed here is the planet causing the cancellation > gets the > power to deliver the NBRY energy/results So, in this case the " planet " causing the cancellation is the Ascendant? Therefore the Ascendant get's a Raja-Yoga consideration for breaking the fall of Saturn??? That would be pretty cool! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer! - Vic On May 19, 2008, at 8:01 PM, astro desk wrote: > Dear Vic > > u got the rules in right order and YES the chances of really getting > one > neecha is limited, Jyotishya is primarily a science of hope, faith and > endurance. > > There is a special issue of THE ASTROLOGICAL MAGAZINE IN SEPTEMBER > 1971 OR > 72 on it > > the only point u missed here is the planet causing the cancellation > gets the > power to deliver the NBRY energy/results > > in ur example it will be Mars or Kuja as Kuja is the owner of the > 4th house. > the neecha planets just gets a face lift but the NBRU belongs to the > one who > gives it a bail > > the magazine I quoted has several scholars of that time write and is > worth > reading. > > Best wishes > On Mon, May 19, 2008 at 9:57 PM, Vic D <vicdicara wrote: > > > Dear All, > > > > I have a question I hope you will be kind enough to shed light on... > > It concerns " Neech Bhanga " or the breaking of a fall, a.k.a > " Cancelled > > Debilitation " ? > > > > Example - Saturn in Aries, house IV > > > > Does being in a Kendra (Central house) mean that the Fall Saturn > > suffers in Aries is broken? > > > > Nalini Kanta (Tom Hopke) writes in " How to Read Your > Horoscope " (pg. 41) > > > > > " The most important situations which bring about cancellation of > > > debilitation are given below. > > > > > > 1) If the debilitated planet is in a quadrant from the ascendant > or > > > the moon > > > > > > 2) If the lord of the sign that the debilitated planet is in, is > in > > > a quadrant from the ascendant or the moon > > > > > > 3) If the planet that is exalted in the sign that the debilitated > > > planet is in, is in a quadrant from the ascendant or moon > > > > > > 4) If the debilitated planet is in its exaltation sign in the > > > navamsa chart > > > > That gives 25 cases which would cancel debilitation! Guest guest
Vic. u got it right again on NBRY it is how most of the net jargon [jyotish] has been. and Yes Sani or Kuja that is Mars of Satn can qualify in the case u mentioned for cancellation of NB and form a NBRY which ever dasa happens early and the sub periods do have a share in a minor proportion, by face lift I dont mean a plastic surgery, I only mean sick person recovering health but the impact of a sickness in a trace form at least will be there. And I agree with Mrs wendy that we have to examine any yoga or condition with a practical case., start collecting some data and try them. the magazine I quoted had some some weeks later I will try to scan and mail them to this group- But if anyone of u have it already pl upload it in the group thanks Prashant On Tue, May 20, 2008 at 9:41 AM, Vic D <vicdicara wrote: > What do you mean by NBRY? Guest guest
Prashantji, Please clarify this one last point: > the planet causing the cancellation gets the power to deliver the > NBRY energy/results Question: If the fall is broken by being in a Quadrant from the Lagna, which " planet " has caused the cancellation and is thus the focus of NBRY? Would it be the Lagna itself? The Lagnesh? THANKS! www.weare108.com http://web.mac.com/vicdicara
Guest guest
Dear Vic i had covered this last time as well YES lagnesh can be one other is the Kendra or the quadrant lord himself kuja [in ur example] , which ever dasa and or yoga operates so Satn and Mars both can give u that results but if any of them occupy a dusthana - 6, 8, 12 house then sure one has to be eliminated logically. prashant On Tue, May 20, 2008 at 9:39 PM, Vic D <vicdicara wrote: > Prashantji, > > Please clarify this one last point: > > > the planet causing the cancellation gets the power to deliver the > > NBRY energy/results > > Question: If the fall is broken by being in a Quadrant from the Lagna, > which " planet " has caused the cancellation and is thus the focus of > NBRY?
