Guest guest
Dear Krishna, Arudha lagna along with karakamsha lagna, varada lagna, nisheka lagna, upapada lagna etc, etc., are all part of the Jaimini system. So, if we're going to go down that path we should also consider the charakaraka for spouse (darakaraka) along with other important principles that may either support or nullify the effect due to AL... All I'm saying is what Vic has expressed very well; we should not mix the two systems together. Did I mix two systems in my statement? Please tell me if I have done it in my response to Su. What I stated is that the lady married someone much older than her can be seen from Saturn occupying UL. Please let me know if I mixed two systems in my statement. Regards, Krishna
Guest guest
Dear Wendy, You might be correct in saying that the two systems should not be mixed. But, my question is did I do that in my response to Su? Guest guest
Dear Krishna, Perhaps you might like to look at the question we were discussing through the eyes of Jaimini chara-dasa, remembering to employ sign aspects, chara-karakas, bhava padas etc., and then give your judgement regarding the age of the native's spouse according to Jaimini. It's inappropriate to discuss a chart using vimsottari dasa, graha aspects etc. (as we were doing), and then make a judgement based on a Jaimini principle i.e; Arudha lagna. If you want to pass judgment on a chart based on some Jaimini principle then go the whole way and use Jaimini dasa etc, etc.. You say you can't see how you mixed the two systems, yet in your original post you clearly stated you were aware of this? You Wrote: ///One possible reason for the big age difference could be that Saturn occupies UL. I have many such examples though./// It's not as though you're not aware of my stand on this, Krishna...you've been here for some time now. Anyway, enough discussion on this now if you please. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Though I would not like to extend this discussion, I would like to clarify what I mean. My stand is that I did use the principle from Jaimini but I did not mix it with Parashara. What I meant was that my observation about Sat being in UL is according to Jaimini and not according to Parashara. Others might be looking at the chart using vimshottari dasha etc. But, I just pointed to a Jaimini principle and also alerted members that it is not based on parashara. Hence, I guess I did not mix up things. According to me just having Sat in UL can give an aged spouse irrespective of other factors. Hence, I did not try to look at chara dasha or aspects etc., as I was not intending to find the timing etc. Hope I am clear. And, as you suggest, let us end this thread here Regards, Krishna Wendy Vasicek <jyotishvidya wrote: Dear Krishna, Perhaps you might like to look at the question we were discussing through the eyes of Jaimini chara-dasa, remembering to employ sign aspects, chara-karakas, bhava padas etc., and then give your judgement regarding the age of the native's spouse according to Jaimini.
