Will she have a son? When? (She already has a daughter)

Please explain why you come to these conclusions.

Thanks!

In my opinion: She is somewhat infertile (Fire ascendant), Jupiter is

in a feminine sign. Other benefics are all in feminine signs. Husband

is Air ascendant. Rahu in 5th in Aquarius. Jupiter in Female sign,

Moon in Female sign, Venus in male sign.

On that basis I predict that there are very few children. And mostly

daughters. The chance of conceiving again is low, maybe 60% for a

second child and %30 for a third. And the chance of a son, once

conceived is something like 20% at best.

But what do you think and why?

Vic

Dear Vic,

Many thanks! It's getting rather late here now so may not have time to

take a good look at the chart until tomorrow.

Whilst I'm still at the computer can I ask you a question about my

website? Is there any way I can prevent others from downloading my site

and taking what they want? I ask this because I was recently informed

about a site that had copied one of the articles word for word without

bothering to ask permission or give a link to the source

(JyotishVidya.com) I have also come across other sites that have copied

whole pages from my site. Of course I do realise that this knowledge

belongs to everyone, so to speak, and I can't lay claim to it personally,

but when I think of all the hard work it's taken over the years to put

JyotishVidya together...write the articles etc., it is a little

disheartening to see others just take what they want to use on their own

site.

Here is the link

http://sutradhari.com/ayanamsa.htm

and here is the page it was taken from

http://jyotishvidya.com/ayanamsa.htm

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear Mrs. Wendy,

Pl.forgive me to butt in between.

Let these people not acknowledge our

contribution.

Let these people not take our permissions.

What does it matter to us ?

At least we have something which is

used somewhere, where it may be

distributed to many and those many would

take advantage of it ?

At least God knows that it is ultimately

taken out from the Forum you have created .

Is not that enough ?

The knowledge that hundreds of thousands

would take advantage of what is being

downloaded ,from our site, should be enough to

give us the peace and happiness.

But all the same, being worldly wise, we

must certainly take those to task , who

do not think it, ettiquetes enough

to mention our link or acknowledge our presence.

No harm in writing direct to those

offenders and asking for explanations.

kind regards,

Bhaskar.

But at the same time, being human, it does hurt,

if someone uses my creation or whatever I have put

up after giving up days and hours of hard work and

efforts and labour to search and take the material

or write and upload it, and someone who comes down

the lane just casually downloads it without having

a least respectful or thankful attitude or no show

of acknowledgement. This does hurt.

Dear Bhaskar,

Very quickly before I switch off and get some rest...

Actually what concerned me was that people reading that on the other site

might then stumble across mine and think I was the one that plagiarised

it...this would surely diminish the credibility of JyotishVidya.com. This

concern could easily be addressed simply by giving a link to the original

source. I'm happy to let others make use of anything on the site, after

all this knowledge belongs to everyone.

Best Wishes,

PS: I've come across several articles on the internet that impressed me

so much I wrote to the person/s concerned and asked if I could include it

on JyotishVidya, all were happy to do this - Shyamasundara Das is an

example of one who was happy to give permission...

http://jyotishvidya.com/dasa.htm

Others were submitted to me by astrologers I know personally, but still

there is a link back to their site...this is the right thing to do,

surely?

I have given the following recommendation to the natives noted in the

original post to this thread... please let me know your assessment of it.

" You have asked me to determine when you will have a son. The truth of

the mater is that you are quite lucky to have one child already. Your

lagna is Leo, a sign with the fire element, and your husbands lagna is

Libra, a sign with the air element. Both air and fire are infertile

elements. Additionally you both have impact from Rahu and Ketu on your

karmas pertaining to childbirth. So you are very lucky to get any

children at all.

However, if you are able to conceive again (there is about a 50%

chance), the next likely time for you to have a child is 2011. The

birth is most likely to take place in March - May of that year. This

means you should conceive sometime around July or August of 2010.

The likelihood of having a son is less than the likelihood of having

another daughter. You are about 75% likely to have another daughter.

Therefore if you strongly desire a son you can improve that likely

hood by perform appropriate pujas nearing that time and observe

appropriate Vedic techniques for strengthening the possibility of a

male child. "

Yours,

Vic

Dear Mrs. Wendy,

Sharing knowledge is one thing and plagiarism is another. Plagiarism

is unequivocally condemned.

I feel it is pertinent to write a few lines more on an associated

issue here. There are instances; even the great teachers carefully

selected their disciples to transmit their knowledge for the

posterity. Acharya Drona, picked up Arjuna not Duryodana, to pass on

his skills. Vidura, passed on his wisdom to Pandavas. Parasurama

had his own conditions to impart knowledge. (They could be viewed as

partial under certain circumstances). The bottom line is that

certain knowledge should not fall in the hands of undeserved and

knowledge should be imparted in a graded way as per the capability of

receiving and assimilation. Even the Almighty not appeared in front

of everybody and granted their wishes. Learned Members may have

different opinion on this issue. Every one has the right to have his.

Dear Vic,

My apologies for not being able to focus on the charts you

submitted...preoccupied with others I'm afraid. I have (finally) managed

to take a look at the female's chart. Her daughter was born during

SU-ME-MA dasa which confirms (for me) the role Mars has to play in

relation to children. It's said that, for a woman, 5th from Moon is often

more important than 5th from lagna.

We find in this chart that Jupiter, significator of children, owns both

5th from lagna and 5th from Moon, and looking at saptamsha we find that

both Jupiter and his dispositor (Mercury) occupy the sign of Mars. In

rasi, YogaKaraka Mars is conjunct Moon and aspected by strong Venus (the

planet of fertility) who occupies Mars nakshatra. Mars in turn occupies

nakshatra of Saturn, the delaying planet, who is debilitated in 6th from

Moon and 12th from Venus.

Looking again at Saptamsha we find that both Saturn and Mars occupy sign

of Moon...hence the leaning towards female progeny. Note at the time of

delivery (female child) Mars was transiting 5th from Moon in sign of

Jupiter etc..

Although we've approached this from a different angle, I think that your

advice to the native was excellent. We have to be mindful of the fact

that this native is approaching the age where fertility declines

naturally. I was impressed with the way you advised her and happy to see

confirmation of (your) exalted Moon in 5th.

From David Frawley's " Astrology of The Seers " we read:

* 5th house shows creative intelligence, our capacity for original

thinking. It indicates our capacity to give good advice and to counsel

others. In this regard it is important for lawyers and politicians*

It goes without saying, of course, that this quality is extremely

important for astrologers :-)

No doubt knowledge of jyotish is the most important consideration for

anyone wishing to pursue this as a profession; but equally important is

the ability to advise others. There are many knowledgeable jyotishi

(academics) who may lack the ability to counsel others...a good

astrologer needs to possess both knowledge and counselling ability.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Re: Example Chart: Male Child?

Therefore if you strongly desire a son you can improve that likely

hood by perform appropriate pujas nearing that time and observe

appropriate Vedic techniques for strengthening the possibility of a

male child. "

Vic
