Guest guest
Dear Viji, I think you are talking about " Nivedhanam " i.e. Naivedya or Naivedyam. (Food offerings or the fruits etc., offered to a deity in a temple or at home). • 3rd house stands for Naivedya or the food offered to the deity in a temple. • 3rd house stands for the kitchen (Madaipalli) where such sacred offerings are prepared. • 3rd house stands for the person who prepares such Naivedya. • Mars is the karaka for a cook who prepares the Naivedya and the kitchen in the temple. In addition to your question the following may be of help to you, • The sacred presence of the deity is to be seen from the 5th house. • The power of the deity is to be seen from the 8th house. • The pollution or the lack of spiritual power is seen from the 6th house • Chanting of vedhas is to be seen from the 9th house. (The above rules are specific for a temple, but one can profitably make use of these rules for the personal Pooja room of a family also.) In a general way, the food and the food habits are seen from the 2nd house. Different kind of food items (according to the taste) has their own karakas. Swayam Bhagam – Self cooking – the significator is Mars. In olden days, till the time of marriage, the Brahmachari were supposed to beg or cook his own food. The widower who has not married after the death of his wife used to cook his own food – that is known as Swayam Bhagam. Swamy. >>>Dear List,May I request the learned members to educate how to see the " Nivedhanam " ?Regards,Viji>>>
