Guest guest
Pujay shri Manasaji and all respected Members. Question 1. concerns Saturn My experience about that is since the Saturn has arrived in Asc. most of the time I keep on going in and out of Hospital - I do not know this could be because I am passing Ketu Maha dasha also at the same time But since the time of maha dasha stated in addition Saturn [ Sanidev] came into asc. apart from lots of problems - I lost my mum [ one who has look after me since my child hood] as mother who gave birth has passed away when I was small child. in case any one wants to study my chart birth details are as follows: sorry for giving the details again as some of u do have them. DOB 18 AUGUST 1931 POB KARACHI TOB 08-00 A.M. Guest guest
Dear Manasa and PDK, I'll confirm that your mother's passing is a common result of the 2nd Sade-sati. The first usually causes mental and emotional confusion and redirection ( " midlife crissis " we call it in america, though it can happen to some as early as their early 20s, late teens). the second may bring loss of parents. the 3rd may bring loss of life, or entrance into extreme tapasya. Guest guest
Pujay shri Vic ji, Sorry to trouble u but is there any chance to be more specific on this statement [ 3rd may bring loss of life or entrance into extreme tapasya] I shall be much obliged, as if I remember correctly than Pujay shri Wendiji said Jupiter being in 12th house in my natal chart - I am heading towards Moksha. Hence I always feel like going into prayers all the time - is it because of Saturn passing through Natal position twice has drawn me towards Prayers all the time. Any how many thanks for your comments. with regards to all the members of list. Guest guest
pdk, It's no trouble, my friend. Remind me of your birth data, please. > Sorry to trouble u but is there any chance to be more specific > on this statement [ 3rd may bring loss of life or entrance into > extreme tapasya] These are blanket statements with no regard to an individual horoscope. As a general blanket statement Saturn transits the Lunar 12th, Langa and 2nd about 3 times in an average persons life. Whenever this happen Saturn does what Saturn does best, brings lonliness, confusion, and alienation. So when this happens for the first time we get confused about our direction in life - because we are still relatively young. The second time this sade-sati happens we are about 30 years older, and this time the same Saturn energy will have a different effect, since we are older. Thus it brings a challenge pertaining to loss of parents. The third time sade-sati happens you are quite old between 60 and 90 roughly. Saturns SAME energy - confusion, loss, separation, ending - will affect us at this age by either killing us or making us extremely disinterested in material things and quest for self-realization. > I shall be much obliged, as if I remember correctly than Pujay shri > Wendiji said Jupiter being in 12th house in my natal chart - > I am heading towards Moksha. Yes. Jupiter is the strongest benefit. the 12th is the Moksha house (one of three actually), so we can see that you will have blessings towards moksha. Also, the vyaya (losses) that you suffer in life will lead to philosophical / spiritual gains because of Jupiters beneficence there. > Hence I always feel like going into prayers all the time - is it > because of Saturn passing through Natal position twice has > drawn me towards Prayers all the time. Oh how I wish I felt the same! You are truly blessed. Give me your birth info, I'll see what I spot in regards to this question. But yes, in general with Jupiter in the 12th your reaction to suffering will be to turn to God. Jai Sri Radhey! Yours, Vic

Guest guest
PDK, What does PDK stand for??? I found Karachi in Pakisthan, this is correct, right, not Karachuli in India? Your 12th house has Jupiter, Sun, and Venus, and the sign is Cancer. First let's look at Jupiter... Jupiter is Exalted! It's a bit past full, but still very, very strong and well disposed towards you. Jupiter shares Vyaya Bhavan ( ;-) the " 12th House " ) with Surya and Venus. In fact, Venus and Jupiter share the same " Room " in the house (Same Nakshatra). This room (Pushya) belongs to Saturn. Jupiter dislikes Saturn, so being in his room diminishes the Jupiter beneficence, or at least changes it's tone. Jupiter hates Venus, having to share this room also diminishes Jupiter's beneficence and changes it's nature. Jupiter is neutral to his housemate, Surya. Next let's look at Venus... Venus is neutral in Cancer, and is house-swapping with The Moon (Parivartana Yoga). She get's along better with Saturn (the owner of her " room " ) than Jupiter does, but is still is just neutral. She doesn't like her room-mate, Jupiter, and she hates the person living in a different part of this house: the Sun. Now the Sun... Sun is in the Moon's House, and the Moon is his great friend. He's in Mercury's room, and Mercury is also a friend. He is neutral towards his housemate Jupiter, and hates his other housemate, Venus. OK, NOW LET'S INTERPRET. Strong Jupiter in the 12th house, directs his energy towards your losses, renunciation, and philosophical attempts towards realization. This is the Moon's house, so these effects mainly pertain to your emotional and inner self. Jupiter is in Saturn's room, so his blessings will take even more of a spiritual and philosophical nature than usual. *Your inner self derives realization and philosophical growth from your apparent losses.* There is a frustration of energy between him and his room-mate, Venus. I think you should therefore take some time in your life to try to appreciate OTHER angles on divinity and spirituality, rather than the Jupiterian / Saturnian one which comes naturally to you. Try to harmonize this tension between the Two Brahmanas by learning Venus' approach to spirituality. See God in flowers and trees and in love and in peace and in delicious food. Eat delicious Radha-prashad, with humility and folded hands try to appreciate divine sexuality. Try to fathom the beauty in Sringar Rasa Lila. Contemplate Sri Radha and Her Sakhis and Manjaris. Make prayers to their divine feet. If you can harmonize Jupiter and Venus your path to mukti opens up much wider and clearer. This will not be an easy task, because they are at each other's throats, so to speak, in your horoscope. There is a less dramatic frustration of energy between Jupiter and Saturn. Therefore try to appreciate Saturn's way of life. Try to see through the eyes of the lower classes. Look at the punk teenagers in ripped black clothes (do you have them over there!?) and try to understand how they perceive life. Look at the beggars, the tyagis. How do they see god? Etc. Thus try to harmonize Saturn and Jupiter. Don't be alarmed about the Sun. The two benefics sharing his house have pacified his inclination towards being a maraka. I bet you identify yourself as a spiritualist, or even a renunciate, within yourself, notwithstanding you humility, I think this is how you conceive of yourself. And it is true. The Sun can shine much light into philosophical mysteries pertaining to liberation when he is well disposed in the 12th. May I now ask you a few questions? Tell me your health status. It appears that your health has significant " ups and downs " sometimes you feel quite healthy, but at other times quite sick. Is this true? Do you have children? Saturn and Mars affect them, but Jupiter is their Ishvara. Did you lose some children? What's your financial situation? Mars functions as a benefic owning 9 and 4. Ketu acts like Mars and Mercury - so it's not too malefic. Rahu acts like Saturn and Jupiter, and thus also is a little beneficial. I think maybe you have an ok savings account? You are an intelligent and thoughtful person. Mercury is very strong in your Ascendant and the Moon is highly exalted in Taurus. You can practice Dhyan or Japa-Yoga with above average success. Guest guest
Dear Vic-ji, Namaste, Your way of expressing planetary relationships within a rasi, is most entertaining.. room-mates and house mates!! I wonder where is the interfering landlord (houselord)!! I have 2 exalted planets in my chart, Jupiter in 8H in pushya nakshatra and Shanidev in 11H in visakha nakshatra.. i.e. jupiter in shani's nakshatra and shani in jupiter's nakshatra. Also Shani aspects jupiter.. What would you predict as interactions of these, as Jupiter is exalted in 8H (another moksha-stan) and Jupiter mahadasha will begin in July 2008.. Also Shani > aspects jupiter.. It helps me to look at the chart, as I am somewhat visually oriented, and when I see things in a chart it's so much easier than reading things like " 11H " etc. Plus I can't determine friendships without the rest of the chart. So please feel free to give me your Birth Data. You have a " room swap " . It's like parivartana yoga, but with nakshatra, rather than rasi. There are more nakshatra than rasi, so it's not as unique or powerful, but in principle it's similar. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, in the 8th in Saturn's room of the Moon's house. Saturn is exalted in Libra in 11th, in Jupiter's room of Venus' house. This means Sagittarius is rising. I have to wonder where the Moon and Venus are? This is important. > What would you predict as interactions of these, as Jupiter is > exalted in 8H (another moksha-stan) and Jupiter mahadasha will begin > in July 2008.. On the info you've given... here's what I say with my limited knowledge... Jupiter is fully benefic for you... FULLY. His energy is in the 8th house + you have the 8th sign as your ascendant = his energy is going to be integral to your character, especially your innerself (he aspects the 4th House). His intrinsic religious / philosophical / moral nature is going to be directed towards the supernatural. Your bhagya is not mundane it is spiritual in nature. " Mundane " bhagya pertains to the body only. Spiritual bhagya is more complete, as it goes to your soul directly and follows you to the next incarnation. He is in Saturn's room this is a moksha room, therefore + He is in a moksha house = his energy is even MORE directed towards spiritual rather than mundane bhagya. He also influences the 12th House. Saturn is going to be very benefit towards you. He's exalted in the 11th House in Venus' sign and in Jupiter's room. LOVELY! Really, this is simply great. Saturn's shortcomings are being repaired! Venus is the best influence on Saturn, and Jupiter is always welcome. All Saturn's energy is improved. You will probably have good looks till the day you die. You might work in relation to nature and beauty, or to feminine principles. Your sense of spirituality is feminine. Again you can augment this by putting energy into feminine spiritual paths. My personal favorite by far involves Sri Radha, but I know there are others. You'll find one that attracts you. Saturn is so lonely and eccentric. He's also so under appreciated and misunderstood. Venus comforts him. She is the most beautiful. When Saturn associates with Venus he feels so special and loved, this rare feeling exalts him. You are Sagittarius Ascending. Saggitarius is a powerful sign because it synergizes all the moksha signs with all the moksha houses, all the kama signs with all the kama houses, etc. (Leo and Aries also do this - in other words when a dharma sign holds the first house, all the signs and bhavas become synchronized.) Moksha houses and signs are 4, 8 & 12. You have Dharma-karak Jupiter is in the 8th House, aspecting the 12th and 4th. (and 2nd) The combination of Dharma and Moskha is very good. It's the sattva guna path to moksha. Houses and Signs 11, 7 and 3 are Kama signifiers. Saturn is in the 7th sign in the 11th House. How interesting to have Saturn EXALTED in kama! This is fascinating! Saturn is not materially favorable under normal circumstances, so what does it mean when he is put in the pleasure-seeking kama sign and house and given the felicity of exaltation??? It means FANTASTIC things. Perhaps that you might be able to have progress in kama/moksha combinations. On the one hand, tantra yoga comes to mind. On the other hand the divine kamadev ( " Kleem Kamadevaya Krishna " ) comes to mind. With strong Jupiter elsewhere, I suggest the spiritual kamadev as a focus of bhakti and dhyan. Also note both Saturn and Jupiter's complexities are integral to your basic self, for they both participate in the Ascendant. Jupiter by ownership, and Saturn by aspect and connection with Jupiter's nakshatra. Jupiter aspects and owns your 4th house as well, his effect on your and your emotions and inner self is so prominent. My brain got worn out! I hope you find this to be both accurate and enlivening. Thanks for the opportunity. Yours, Vic

" Mundane " bhagya pertains to the body only.. Again you can augment this by putting energy into feminine spiritual paths.. (Leo and Aries also do this - in other words when a dharma sign holds the first house, all the signs and bhavas become synchronized. ) Moksha houses and signs are 4, 8 & 12. Guest guest
Dear Vic-ji, Namaste. Thank you so much for your detailed and exhaustive analysis of the nakshatra exchange of my exalted Jupiter and Shanidev. Both jupiter and shani are 'heavy-duty' players in every horoscope. In my case jupiter is lord of 2 kendras placed in a spiritual house, and the spiritual planet shani, as lord of 2 and 3rd is placed in 11H of materialistic gains. I was looking for jupiter giving detachment and shani being less restrictive, more generous, by amalgatation of each others virtues. Interstingly 5HL and 12HL mars is debilitated in 8H, conjuct exalted jupiter, but its maleficience is reduced by rasi exchange with the 8HL moon being in Aries(5H) and both mars and moon receives aspect from shanidev. Jupiter/mars conjuction gives a rajyoga in 8H activities. Venus is conjunct 9HL and atmakarka, sun, 7/10HL mercury and ketu and placed in 7H, gemini. I wasnt looking for a chart analysis, but I thank you with sincerity, and regret causing you 'wear and tear' damage to your precious grey cells.. But if like me, curiosity gets the better of you, my birthdetails are enclosed.. 14th July 1955, time 18:02 hrs, penang, malaysia, time zone +7:30hrs for birthtimes b4 1982. Lagna is dhanus 13deg saggitarius. Moon 18deg aries(bharani) Strong mercury giving Badra mahapurusha yoga = forever a child at heart... Lagna is dhanus 13deg saggitarius. Moon 18deg > aries(bharani) I'll put it in my files and look at it from time to time! Oh boy, curiousity! Look at all those planets in the 7th house!!! 4 planets! Rahu debilitated in the Ascendant! Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rahu is saved from his depression by Ketu. So Rahu is Neech Bhang. Ketu does NOT get neech-bhang raj-yoga because of his conjunction with Venus who owns the 6th house. Oh well! I think it's significant that Saturn is retrograde. Let me ask about this: 0) first, what's your gender? 1) Have you had drastic financial or dietary setbacks? 2) Would you describe yourself as " fearful " ? 3) Have you had difficulties with your children? You have a nurturing tendancy, and the children have good kapha, but there is an aspect of saturn on the 5th house. Has this affected your children? 4) Did you receive diksha? 5) What are your own impressions about how neech-bhang Rahu in teh ascendant has affected you? Have you had drastic changes in your life pertaining to the way you conceive of yourself, or the way you look? 6) How do you read the impact of all those planets in the 7th House? I also have sun in the 7th, and it makes me difficult to get along with over a long period of time in a close or intimate situation. Sun in the 7th sometimes indicates too much ego where there should be partnership. Do you notice this? > Strong mercury giving Badra mahapurusha yoga = forever a child at > heart... =) Also in the 8th is Guru-Manglam. Mars and Jupiter. They are neutral to each other, so you'll see a moderate effect, but still, this is significant. You also have a Tapasvi yoga with Venus, Ketu and Saturn in triangle spots. Like you mentioned a raj yoga on the 8th, which is slightly diminished or in this case perhaps enhanced by the fact that Mars owns the 12th House. Guest guest
Dear Vic-ji, Namaste. The way that I see it, the planets fall into 2 groups.. those in the 1/7H axis, and the others in the linked 5/8/11H and shani's aspect on lagna,, ties it all neatly.. My response to the questions asked.. ////Let me ask about this: 0) first, what's your gender? As sure as I can be, I am physiologically FEMALE. 1) Have you had drastic financial or dietary setbacks? 2005 till mid 2006 was financially painful.. late 2007 also finacially turbulent. 2) Would you describe yourself as " fearful " ? Although I do have a tendency to worry, I do come across as very self confident and almost dorminating!!! Rahu( in poisonous moola nak) in fiery jupiterian rasi..too much 'fire-power' = rebellious. I hate confrontations but I will get my way, I have great endurance power. If reasoning doesnt help, then time will... 3) Have you had difficulties with your children? You have a nurturing tendancy, and the children have good kapha, but there is an aspect of saturn on the 5th house. Has this affected your children? Shani aspects 5H as well as 5th lord mars,(deb in 8H) No negative effects so far. I have 4 kids, 3 female 1 male, all hale and hearty.. 4) Did you receive diksha? Nope.. negative. 5) What are your own impressions about how neech-bhang Rahu in teh ascendant has affected you? Have you had drastic changes in your life pertaining to the way you conceive of yourself, or the way you look? 1999 was the turning point in my life.. It was the period of sade sati too, difficult period healthwise too. But it gave me the strength and courage to reassess my life's priorites and make the necessary changes. It correlates with the rahu-mercury period.. 6) How do you read the impact of all those planets in the 7th House? I also have sun in the 7th, and it makes me difficult to get along with over a long period of time in a close or intimate situation. Sun in the 7th sometimes indicates too much ego where there should be partnership. Do you notice this? I have Sun, 9H lord and atmakarka, in jupiter's nakshatra.. Venus and Mercury in ardha(rahu's naks) and ketu in Mrigsira(mars naks) all placed in a dual mercurian rasi,, gemini.. Net result = makes me a 'people magnet' I get pursuaded into taking more 'leadership or prominent roles' in most settings.. I somehow can't 'just blend into the background', and sometimes I find a need to withdraw and seek isolation. Perhaps there is a tug-of war between sun-ketu vs venus- mercury. Sun-ketu gives separative, isolating effects,, while venus/mercury especially in rahu nak, gives mesmerising effects... Ego was perhaps a bigger issue in my younger days,, but post 2000, being right/getting acknowledgement, is no longer 'a big deal' anymore, being aware of, and sincere to myself is more important now. sun and mercury in 7H,= very good raj yoga of 9H and 10H/7H lords...and both mercury and sun are strong.. I have answered your questions to the best of my ability,, hope it helps.. warmest regards Sheevani jyotish-vidya , Vic D <vicdicara wrote: > > Dear Sheevani, > > > Thank you so much for your detailed and exhaustive analysis of the > > nakshatra exchange of my exalted Jupiter and Shanidev. Guest guest
Dear Sheevani, > 0) first, what's your gender? > > As sure as I can be, I am physiologically FEMALE. Let's start cataloging on points, then... Your Lagna is male and your Lagnesh is in a Female sign - and you are a woman. My lagna is female and my Lagnesh is in a male sign, and I am a man. So far it seems that the lagnesh is more connected with gender. but of course it's wildly premature on only 2 data. I'll ask the group for data in a second email. > 1) Have you had drastic financial or dietary setbacks? > > 2005 till mid 2006 was financially painful.. late 2007 also > finacially turbulent. Interesting - I asked because retrograde Saturn owns the 2nd house. The time frame you mentioned is Rahu - Moon and Rahu - Mars. Rahu is in the ascendant, aspected by Saturn, maybe that's a connection. Rahu hates the moon and mars. Maybe there's a connection. What do you think? Was it only a financially painful and turbulent time, or was the pain and turbulence all across the board? > 2) Would you describe yourself as " fearful " ? > > Although I do have a tendency to worry, I do come across as very self > confident and almost dorminating!!! Mercury can befriend anyone, so flexible. Together with Venus and Rahu must give tremendous charisma and hypnotic power, as you say. Yeah i see what you are saying. My 7th house situation is much less fortunate, at least to the level I currently understanding. Guest guest
Dear Vic-ji, //Interesting - I asked because retrograde Saturn owns the 2nd house. > The time frame you mentioned is Rahu - Moon and Rahu - Mars. Rahu is > in the ascendant, aspected by Saturn, maybe that's a connection. Rahu > hates the moon and mars. Maybe there's a connection. What do you think? Moon is 8HL and Mars is placed in 8H.. there is parivatan yoga between the 8th and 5th houses.. hence similar effects of moon and mars antras!!!! Was it only a financially painful and turbulent time, or was the pain > and turbulence all across the board? It was a period that I cud not see the 'wood for the trees' so there is knock-on effect in general self confidence and depressive state of affairs.. ///What do you think have been the effects of Retrograde Saturn owning your third house?/// I hate confrontations but I will get my way, I have great endurance power. If reasoning doesnt help, then time will... power to endure and wait patiently for time's tide to change in my favour.. that is a blessing of shanidev.. is it not??? Shani never gives up easily... Kids--Wow. Interesting. I'm scratching my head. Would parivatan yoga between 5H and 8H, and 5th lord(mars) conjuct exalted Jupiter(karka for children) protect the children from harm???? Mars is also in shani's nakshatra- pushya.. U have sun and mars in cancer 7H,, under current transit, weaken mars with ketu in cancer and shani in leo 8H and jupiter in 12H.. u must be finding general and personal relationships stressful, also lacking in warmth and concern. Shani's position good for health and in other areas, it would be so-so,( in enemy house but with lagnesh-hat) Jupiter may increace expenses and desire to travel etc.. warmest regards Sheevani jyotish-vidya , Vic D <vicdicara wrote: > > Dear Sheevani, > > > 0) first, what's your gender? > > > > As sure as I can be, I am physiologically FEMALE. > > Let's start cataloging on points, then... Guest guest
Dear Sheevani-ji, >>> 3) Have you had difficulties with your children? You have a >>> nurturing tendancy, and the children have good kapha, but there is >>> an aspect of saturn on the 5th house. I'd like to hear Mrs. Wendy's input on that question. 5th Lord Mars in the 8th house sounds like it should be very bad for children. The swap of houses between Moon who owns the 8th house and Mars who owns the 5th seems like it would diminish negative effects and also blend the natures of the two houses and " landlords " quite a bit. Additionally, Saturn aspects the 5th while retrograde. The conjunction of 5th Lord Mars with Jupiter must be the clincher. Here's what I think after due consideration... 1) There is danger to the 5th house from it's lord occupying the dangerous and frightening 8th. 2) This danger is mitigated quite a bit by the very close and friendly relations between the two landlords in parivartana. so the negative impacts of the 8th lessen and the positive ones increase. The negative impacts of the 8th is, basically, death. The positive impacts are the opposite of death (longevity) and insight into the unseen (psychological, mystical, spiritual benefits) The impacts of the 5th are, basically, children. Also at stake here is lust, poetry, education, intelligence, and yogic skills. 3) Jupiter lives in a neutral relationship with Mars in the 8th house. Jupiter signifies children, as well as philosophy. Therefore in relation to Mars (Owner of the 5th House), Jupiter blesses the children (counteracting the initial bad karma from point 1). In relation to the 8th House, Jupiter blesses you with philosophical acumen regarding psychology, astrology, and spirituality. 4) Saturn influences the 5th AND the 8th AND both their owners. The effect on the 7th house is reinforcement of the bad karma from point 1, but directing it towards saturn's domain and away from Jupiters. It thus may impact your libido and formal spiritual training. The effect of Saturn on the 8th is harmonious. It increases your perceptivity of dark and unseen things. > U have sun and mars in cancer 7H,, under current transit, weaken mars > with ketu in cancer and shani in leo 8H and jupiter in 12H.. u must > be finding general and personal relationships stressful, also lacking > in warmth and concern. Shani's position good for health and in other > areas, it would be so-so,( in enemy house but with lagnesh-hat) > Jupiter may increace expenses and desire to travel etc.. My birth time may need to be adjusted, because many significant events in the dashas seem to happen about three-six months before they would be predicted (I would love if anyone with experience in rectifying birth times would say whether this means the birth time should adjust earlier or later, and by how much). Six months ago this would have been particularly true. Actually now it's been almost a year or so. But currently that energy is phasing out. Within the past year I toured in Europe, America and South America, and have (as of about 4 months ago) lost interest in travel. I was finding the entire world to be completely cold an lacking warmth and concern roughly 1 year ago. This resulted in extreme tumults towards my marriage which almost proved incalculably disastrous. Please not that in my horoscope Venus has Neech Bhang Rag Yoga from Saving Mars, and Mars has Neech Bhang Raj Yoga from saving Saturn. Thus is was my wife (Venus) who held everything together on the strength of her sincere love and piety and averted the disasters instigated by Mars, Ketu, and Saturn. Intereting, Adolf Hitler (I am told) also had Sun and Mars in 7th House. But I doubt his 7th was Cancer, and I doubt his Mars was combust or saved from fall by Srimati Venus-devi. =) Thanks for the excellent discussion.
