Guest guest
Dear Shri.KRji, Under graha pada saaraa narration of a horoscope we mention the graha sputas (Longitudes of each gragha). How ever in Astrology we were made to presume that Sun traverses the 12 zodiacal signs from one Sun rise to the next. This is why for a given mukurtha we create an imaginary point called as Ascendant / Lagna which actually represents the Sun’s traversing position on that particular point of time and day. Therefore I could say that Sun plays a dual role in a horoscope one acts as planet “SUN” and another acts as the extended arm of the Sun called as “LAGNA”. With regards, D.Sathiyanarayana Gupta. Is it a notional point like Ragu and Ketu or a planet by itself? {The above quarry was raised by a Software dependent Astrologer} I hope to get some clarifications in the matter. P.S:-I have requested several clarifications in the past but most of them never seen the day light .May be my quarries are of rudimentary in nature and made the pandits in the group to think that it was below their dignity to answer to clarify me. Guest guest
Namaste, Thank you very much for explaining the rational behind " Lagna " ;but at the same time I am at a loss to understand the planetary status attributed to " Lagna " .Is it because of the dual role played by Sun? Please advice.
