Health officials worry about " multidrug-resistant " TB, which can withstand the

mainline antibiotics isoniazid and rifampin. " extensively drug-resistant " TB,

also called XDR-TB, which resists many drugs used to treat the infection.

 

There have been 17 U.S. XDR-TB cases since 2000, according to CDC statistics.

 

The highly dangerous form is " expanding around the world, " particularly in South

Africa, eastern Europe and the former states of the Soviet Union, said Dr.

William Schaffner, chairman of the department of preventive medicine at

Vanderbilt University.

Dear Shri KRji,

 

You have raised a good point as to how to identify chronic drug resistant

ailments? To the best of my knowledge I don’t think we can name the decease with

our known Astrological excellence but we can foretell whether a body would be /

is scummed to chronic illness.

Lagna the 1st house and 3rd house gives us a knowledge about sound health and

immunity levels which would also be reflected in the 4th and 12th houses; 6th

house denotes illness in general, 8th house indicates chronic prolonged illness.

Ragu indicates ailments of general nature but Ketu indicates karma- rOgha /

chronic prolonged ailments when these afflict 6th / 8th house we should note to

read the strengths and weaknesses of Sun, Moon and Mercury to assess about

immune systems.

Any weakness in the body would reflect on the vadhanam / bodly beauty and

young looking appearances, hence we should also take cognizance of Venus.

For e.g. (1) Venus and Lagna Lord if disposited in any one of the 6,8,12

houses (2) Mars and Ragu in the 4th or 12th houses to Lagnamsa in D9 (3) if

Lagna is aspected by Mars and Sun; these combinations in a horoscope make a

person prone to cshayarOgha / TB.

The above list is not exhaustive; the Astrologer should use his bukthi-yukthi

/ rational thinking to identify the causes various ailments.
