Guest guest
I have Mars/Sani conjunct in Virgo in 3rd -- at first this had a lot of issues for me as I had bursts of energy followed by bouts of lethargy, and a lot of passive/agressive energy towards pursuit of desires. After a lot of self-analysis (since the rasi is virgo), however, things have gotten a lot better career-wise, relationship-wise, and mentally -- and I am still fairly young. The Upachaya nature of the house definitely manifested. I can see why certain astrologers speak of the 3rd as a raja yoga house (i.e. Garga Hora 312 -- Mangal,Sani [in 3rd]: will be so powerful, as a king, be free from all kind of diseases, will head even the kings and will attain success over enemies) . I would say that malefics in the 3rd give rise to a tenacity to achieve despite difficulties, and the specific planets there would show how the person goes about this. Benefics might make the (internal) ride a lot smoother, which would make the person more content and less likely to claw their way up to high positions. Not having any benefics in the 3rd, I can only guess the internal experience of the person with them there. They say Jupiter is not well-placed in the 3rd (perhaps because he dislikes struggling), but the 3rd can also indicate fun and playfulness. I would say Saturn and Jupiter in the 3rd means there's an expansive desire for things (depending on rising sign) followed by some inner guilt, sorrow, or discipline -- at best, balancing the way one expands in order to maximize the way the native's energy is spent. vedic astrology , KARUNAAKARAM RAAGHAVAM <munisevitham wrote: > > Namaste, > What I felt, it was suggested as an " indicative' for fame-success, that may not be a final answer. Guest guest
Namaste, The Malayalam super star Mohan lal has Jupiter-Saturn combination in 3rd. His Ascendant is Libra. But he has Gaja kesari yoga with moon in Pisces. In one of the books which I read, the below was given as the condition for popularity: Jupiter aspecting Sun and Moon and Lagna/Lagna Lord Lagna lord being strong. But personally, from what I have observed, I feel Saturn has a big role in deciding popularity as it rules the ordinary mass. A good Moon-Saturn conjunction can also make a person loved by masses. Another thing that I oberserved is the role of Rahu. A well positioned Rahu can make the person attractive and adored by people. Though I am not very sure about the popularity, so far as I know, people with Rahu in Kendra, or in 3/11 position from Lagna or Lagna lord, they become the pet of people around. These are just my observations after analysis of various charts and I dont have any astrological dictums to prove. People can verify with whom they know and let me know so that I can verify if my observations are right or wrong. Guest guest
In vedic astrology shastras, the 10th lord being in a good position is mentioned as a harbinger of fame. If the same occupies good amsas and is in benefic shastiamsa then the native gains fame in his karmic life. In the same fashion, the panch mahapurush yogas will also bring in fame depending on the power of such a combination. Then the Gaja-Kesari yoga and various kinds of vesi, vosi, ubhaychari yogas including neecha-bhanga and vipareeta raja yogas etc. will bring in fame from different directions. Fame is a big area with many branches. It could be with in a social circle, state level, country level and international level. The more stronger the chart the much greater the aspect of fame. You may like to read the following which I had sent to another member in a group. Dear Friends, I would like to add the following: 1. Venus is feminine planet and has the qualities of female beauty and such interests 2. Mercury is eunuch and gets influenced by the planet associated with it 3. Venus is a watery planet and it's combination with a planet ruling earth i.e. Mercury it gets into great affinity 4. While Venus is associated with beauty, arts, luxuries, music, sweet voice etc., mercury adds intelligence and the trading qualities but if Venus is more powerful then Mercury's qualities may get diminished i.e. the person may be a good musician, artist, singer but may not be able to cash on it. While strong mercury will indicate that the person with even mediocre credentials in arts is cashing on it. 5. Yet so, since it is the combination of earth and water elements; they do give excellence in arts or the person is very good at appreciating the natural beauty or the nature at large Since Venus i.e. Shukra is the demonic Guru, it is supposed to increase the materialistic abundance in one's life. It is the Shukra that controls the arts in general and a powerful Shukra gives the position of a Guru in any artistic field or as per its planetary association. If I remember it right, Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa had the exalted Venus in the 2nd house in his chart. In a way, it was helpful to give him the power to attract people and the position of Guru (in fact people were attracted to him). Also the speech would have been able to influence people. Though, he was not a singer but as a devotee he would have been engaged in singing bhajans etc. or even preaching. A powerful Shukra associated with 2nd house would have given vakasiddhi to him. Further in such cases, the association/aspect is also important to consider. If we look at the role of Mercury then it is said to be the royal messenger of the planetary kingdom. It rules communication, intelligence and buddhi. It is the role of Mercury to take our qualities to the world. Now, it depends on the power of Mercury whether it is really able to do so. So, it is mercury that can make us either a drishta or karta. If Mercury is very powerful then we will be able to let the world know of our qualities but if not the qualities will remain latent. Mars will let us take action and Saturn will make us work hard. All in all, when a few strong planets are in sync then we will be able to have a strong personality but if not it will be a weaker one. Sometimes, even one single planet can pull us all along due to its sheer power. A strong Mercury will make us do intelligent things. A strong Mars will make us action oriented. A strong Saturn will make us hardworking. A strong Sun will give us a leadership position in whatever we do. A strong Jupiter will give us the real knowledge and wisdom. A strong Shukra will give strong artistic capabilities. The nodes will help us according to their signs and dispositor's position and power. At times it will be very difficult to decipher as to what exactly is a planet's role. Moon rules mind while Sun is atma, Mercury rules intelligence, but wisdom and viveka is under Jupiter's purview, mars rules leadership and action while Saturn is hardwork and Rahu & Ketu can be the forces affecting things in one way or the other. Einstein was a great philosopher yet an avid appreciator of arts and philosophy and a great writer. He got influenced by his meeting with Rabindranath Tagore and Tagore was influenced by him as well. It shows their mental faculties. Tagore is said to have powerfully disposed Venus & Mercury relating to his vakasthana & parakrama sthana which are related to speech & writing. He got the Nobel Prize for his acclaimed work Geetanjali. Everybody knows that he was a good singer, poet, painter, writer and philosopher who's Shanti Niketan is the school of thought to the budding artists even today. Mahatma Gandhi was a great philosopher and believer of truth, Swami Vivekananda got royal patronage due to the association of Sun with this combination and also got a very strong fiery/motivational tone due to the influence of Sun, Shri Aurobindo's poetic and philosophical brilliance is known all across. The Bacchan's are great in acting; even the Junior Bacchan is creating a long-term space for himself. Amitabh Bacchan's association with his father's poetry is known everywhere. I would like to state that Einstein had this combination in the 10th house so it made him a great personality and gave him excellence in career; Amitabh has got this combination in the 8th house and influences his hidden talents and his voice and wealth etc. Swami Vivekananda's chart is a bit conflicting due to the fixation of lagna; others I don't know at length. Mercury-Venus gives the natural talent to attract people due to one's looks, behaviour, artistic fervours etc. On the other hand (regarding the combination of Sun & Mars in the 10th house of P.V. Narasimha Rao) with Mercury is a boon indeed. The reason being that both Sun & Mars get special powers i.e. Digabala in the 10th house that gave him uplift in career and took him to the highest position at a time when nobody had guessed his name. Sun & Mars are fiery planets and when they both are together in harmony, the person is sure to become a king. When they are associated with the 10th house the person gets an elevated status in life even if he is born in a poor family. Mercury adds intelligence and the bargaining/trading power to such a combination. Though I am not aware of the sign in which they are posited but I think one or two of these planets is/are very powerful in his case. I will share more on other topics as we go forward.
