Correct Co-ordinates for Allahabad and corrected time question.

Hello all,

I got Astro Charts (of my son) done through two different Charting

Agencies and both had Accendent LIBRA. The degrees being 29:58:30

Libra in both charts.

 

Since the Ascendent was close to Cusp, I had taken charts from two

different services. This matched with the hand made chart (done at

birth time but there were no degrees in hand made chart). SO I used

this chart for my studies.

 

Recently I downloaded full free version of " Jagannath Hora 7.0 " and

when drew the same chart with same Ayanamsa of (23:35:7), it gave Asc

of Scorpio 0:10:09.65.On close examination, I realized that earlier

s/w had Latitude / Longitude of 25N57 and 81E50 whereas " Jagannath

Hora " has values 25N27 / 81E51. So it is the Latitude value causing

this issue.

 

I googled and found Latitude 25N27 to be more accurate (as in

Jagannath Hora), but Allahabad being seat of Religion and Astrology,

is there any accepted value of Latitude different to what is

acceptable in Geography. Does some one has any opinion on this and

help me please. I was using Time / Date being 8:30 AM on 15 Oct 1980.

 

On further research, the hand written chart had " corrected time " of

8:26 AM (as opposed to 8:30 AM provided by hospital and used by me in

charts). On using timeof 8:26 AM, the Asc goes back to Libra. So

another question: should I be using time of 08:26 AM. I had studied

" Time correction' in Dr Raman books, but do not know if this is to be

used to draw the charts in the first place.

Many thanks for Lat, Long info. I shall use it.

 

DO you recommend using the " Rectified Time " for drawing up the Horoscope? I

am being cautious because Acs being so close to cusp.
