Rahu with Jupiter Combust in the 5th house

Greetings, everyone!

 

A friend of mine introduced me to Vedic Astrology. She did my chart

for fun just to get my attention (she felt I am neglecting certain

areas in my life..) I learned from the Astrologer that my Jupiter is

combust (5th sign, sagittarius) and is afflicted by the Sun and

Rahu. I was told I am barren and will never have children. This did

not shock me for I don't have plans of getting married. However, the

astrologer told me that I was a bad shaman in my previous life, and

that I have a tendency to abandon my faith in this lifetime. I'm not

completely sold on reincarnation, but somehow his analysis of my

chart got me curious..

 

You should have seen how those Vedics looked at me when they saw my

jupiter combust! I learned from books (and thru the net) that

Jupiter bestows fortune and good things in life. So my questions are:

 

1. What is your opinion regarding Jupiter combust in his own house?

(5th for leo lagna)

2. In some texts, Rahu can bestow fame and power if placed in the

fifth. Can you recommend a book or article that discusses the

effects of Rahu and Ketu. which of the two is more malefic?

 

3. Am I a ruchaka yoga? with mars in 4th, his own sign,(scorpio)

and conjoined by 2nd lord mercury and 10th lord venus. But I am not

sporty or physically active. My Saturn retrograde is lord of 6 and 7

bhavas and he is placed in the 10th! Yikes, according to some!

 

4. Lastly, my mercury is debilitated in the navamsa (10th house

ruled by pisces)but my sun is exalted. why should i look at mercury

in the navamsa when it is not he ruler of my 7th house in the rasi?

 

I hope one of you guys can enlighten me. Thanks!

rahu+guru can give u children OUT side wedlock, a hacker, or one who can crack

things ingeniously goo d or bad depends on overall time he is in and periods

strenght too

 

u can't decide so easily of not getting married it can be natures surprise or

shock whatever. karma chain is not easy to wish away.

of my life:

 

Birthdate:Dec. 29/1972, 21:46 pm Philippines, 118e44 9n44.

Siblings: two boys, one girl.

Profession: former public relations specialist, presently part-time College

instructor, part-time entrepreneur.

Education: 2 Bachelor Degrees 1990-1995, Masters Degree in Economics 2002,

Plans to pursue another Masters or will proceed to Doctorals next year 2008. IS

IT OK TO PROCEED?

Family Background: Mother's family is devout Catholic, Dad's family are devout

I visited holy sites in china 1999. I PLAN to go to INDIA AND NEPAL 5 years

from now.

 

Relationships: NSBS! no-boyfriend -since -birth! hahaha! I know, for some it's

really pathetic!

Love: Strangely, I can't remember ever falling in love! This is what's

alarming my friends and family. I mean, 10 years ago, at 24, I just told

2. Have I been cursed by the Prophet Muhammad? He is considered a guru by

Dear friend,

 

Thank you very much for a refreshing and very intelligent posting.

Gods and prophets are very secure, me thinks, and do not get upset at

little indiscretions of their children and ward. The situation is

really that the half-grown school 'monitors' are the one who have

created all these terrible stories about the Headmaster and

Principal! Understandably too! They may be the chosen ones but they

Hi, Rampaul! Thanks for your reply.

 

Saturn in the 10th is retrograde. My vedic said I won't have a stellar career

or be as accomplished as my mother. She has three exalted planets in the D10.

Too bad I'm not in the army! Does being manglik affect my career, i understand

it's just the marriage that is affected. In your opinion, is it okay for me to

wear blue sapphire. I've been wearing a ring since I was 22. I'm now in my

saturn dasa.

 

Thanks for your recommendation. Very few books on vedic astrology here in the

Philippines. I am now browsing on-line.

I am taking the liberty of entering the topic without any permission

so execuse me for this.

 

Sun is the king of the planetary kingdom and Jupiter is the Minister

and the Guru while Rahu-Ketu are supposed to be the army of this

planetary kingdom. While Rahu is supposed to be a malefic but when

it occupies a trine house alike 5th or 9th it gains good qualities

according to the position of the owner of the house. In such a

scenario, Sun is powerful in degrees in a friendly house while

Jupiter is sitting in its own house therefore powerfully disposed.

With this combination, Rahu has to take a back seat where in between

the two well disposed planets it has nothing much to do. Had it

been an eclipse kind of situation then the situation would have been

different wherein Rahu would have an upper hand.

 

Jupiter, if powerfully disposed, may make one a grammarian and well

read in the religious scriptures. But it has to be unafflicted to

give such results. WIth Rahu's affliction it has not made you the

grammarian. WIth Sun's powerful unafflicted presence it could have

made you a government servant or a diplomat which it has not since

it is also afflicted by Rahu. But what it has done is having family

roots with two different religions. It has affected this aspect in

the life but not negatively because Sun & Jupiter together

overshadow the Rahu here but Rahu has also playet its important role.

 

Rahu in 5th house gives dimplomacy & power since Rahu is a shadowy

planet which rules things that happen behind the curtain. But the
