Guest guest
Dear Shri Pathiji, You are behaving like a small lovable child who when hurt, moves away in his shell. I can understand that by heart all elderly people are like little children and get offended and hurt easily, but at this time there was no offence meant by anyone to you. Shri Bharatji had only voiced his opinions as all of had, as each perceived it. Nothing wrong in that. And Shri Bharatji also very wisely and maturely proclaimed respect and affections every few lines , so that You may not take offence. It was only a clash of opinions which would remain in every assembly be it of a Doctors, astrologers, scientists or anyother. This should not be inferred that one is injecting knowledge into you. Neither should this be a cause for anyone to leave. Let good sense and healthy critical views prevail, and let us not get divided and separated. Rest upto you. kind regards, Bhaskar. , venkatachala pathi <pathiav wrote: > > Friends, > > I am proud that I associated with you for a long time. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar ji, I am neither childish nor against accepting views. I was in this group as a jothish. I realize that I am unfit into this group where great intellectuals are steaming with views and flags on various other subjects than Jothish. Hence I decided to be away, for I have neither time nor fortitude to confront these in this old age. Further, I felt uncomfortable in the tune and language used while reverence being inserted often to remember Antony's famous oration. Thank you anyway! However, I am grateful to have befriended couple of those like you and I am sure I will cherish this for all time. You are always welcome to contact me in personal level, if I deserve. Regards and blessings. Pathi
Guest guest
Sir, Thank you for the reply and blessings. But jyotish has to be a part of Hinduism and spiritualism, and once in a while these topics do come up in almost all the Forums of astrology. We cannot do away completely with these, as Vedic Astrology is a integral part of Hindu religion. About language we cannot do much, again because we all have studied the same language in a different way, with various types of pronunciations, various people due to their upbringing in separate classes of society and geographical locations, some well versant, some not so well versant, some working in particular offices with refined crowd as co workers others not so, thus mode of expression and choice of English grammar and usage of words, may not always be cultured, as one requires to read. This has to be overlooked and the essence understood. I request you again to re-consider your decision and not leave the Group, and allow us the privilege of your presence and the astrological knowledge which you may be knowing and have experienced, which others may not have. kind regards, Bhaskar. , venkatachala pathi <pathiav wrote: > > Dear Bhaskar ji, > > I am neither childish nor against accepting views. Guest guest
Bhaskar Ji, You can see, those who advoice to be submissive are sometimes more dogmatic, more stubborn. Mr. Pati has expressed his views but his greatness or his submissiveness stops him even to read and tolerate other's views. What more contradiction you want to see! I dont think it's ahimsha or sahishnuta, it's a fanatism indeed. regards, Lalit. , " Bhaskar " <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > Dear Shri Pathiji, > > You are behaving like a small lovable child who when > hurt, moves away in his shell. Guest guest
Dear Lalitji, I understand all this, but we have to respect age, which is what we are doing. I have seen life at close wuarters and know about moral policing, those who do this, themselves cannot take any single opinion which may not stand in conformity with their own views, At that time all moral policing vanishes. I am not talking of this case, but of others. Even Mahatma Gandhi who was understood to be ahimsavadi was not exactly so, in the real sense of the term. He used to ill treat his own body, starve it, put it to discomfort, until and unless his demands were met. I dont like or agree to this, because one ultimately is torturing the " kaya " which is a gift of God and not earnt in a Lottery ticket, and those family members who stand watching helplessly to a person propogating ahimsa but starving his own body, are so much pained to see all this. Ultimately pain is 100% created whether by Violence or by ahmisavaad to realise ones wishes.. This double talk of preaching and practise we witness all around and daily in Life, which is why I listen to talks of Satsanga on The Satsanga channels, but if you ask me to stay with my family for 2 days with those same speakers, I will not, whatever money you offer me, because I know the senses are stronger than talks and Moral preaching and it is best to listen to such people but do not go near them, or one will soon get disillusioned. The above was for general and not for any particular person, so none may feel offended. regards, Bhaskar. , " litsol " <litsol wrote: > > Bhaskar Ji, > > You can see, those who advoice to be submissive are sometimes more > dogmatic, more stubborn. Guest guest
dear bhaskarji, often you lose your temper and blast out the persons But in case of sri pathi, you have indeed given a very mature and carefully worded reply, speaking your mind at the same time. In deed it is part of our culture to respect age. How do you feel if your juniors do not care for you? While I think sri Pathi is making a mistake in leaving the forum b, I also feel people should have freedom to join or leave such forums. I think we should neither criticize him nor egg too much to stay back. If he is hurt and he is leaving it, how can you criticize him for getting hurt? People do not have freedom even to feel hurt?? On the other hand, please do not force too much also since it may give a false sense of prestige and power to people since all said and done, these groups are more virtual than real . ( I am not saying that the people who join are virtual) regards, Kishore patnaik 98492 70729 On 10/27/07, Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > Dear Lalitji, > > I understand all this, but we have to respect age, > which is what we are doing. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Pathi I do respect the elderly but when it comes to knowledge I do not accept views that downright disrespect the Knowledge. I wasn't inserting reverence like you have suggested. I mean every word of mine. I have interacted with you earlier too and you would have felt the same. Again, if my words did cause you hurt, or your felt insulted by them, I apologize to you. Jyotish, as a subject is a Vedanga and deeply connected with the knowledge contained in the Vedas. Infact, in a group floated by Sri Sanjay Rath - Sohamsa, the focus is of connecting the two. In that sense, Hinduism and Jyotish is deeply connected. However, I agree that our posts (yours as well as mine - did not focus on Jyotish or its connection). I saw your post giving shallow meaning to the knowledge contained in the Vedas, and therefore, replied. My ignorance is huge but something illogical I cannot accept, whether or not I am scholar. Thanks and Regards Bharat On 10/27/07, venkatachala pathi <pathiav wrote: > > Dear Bhaskar ji, > > I am neither childish nor against accepting views. I was in this group as > a jothish.
