do you know of this yoga and its significance:

 

 

 

Parivardhana yoga

 

 

 

it states that when two planets are in opposite house, that you get the

affect of both planets. what exactly does that mean? I never understood

that. does that mean they can switch places back and forth?

More details on Parivarthana Yoga:

 

In Sloka 32, Adyaya 6, of Mantreswara's PHALA DEEPIKA you read the following;

 

If two planets occupy each others sign (house) they are said to have

interchanged places. The action of the planets, so interchanged, is called

Parivarthana Yoga.

 

There can be 66 such combinations caused by the various pairs formed of the

lords of the housed from the Ascendant to the 12th; 30 such pairs are made by

the lords of the 6th, 8th, 12th and these yogas are called Dainya and 8 are

created by the lord of the 3rd. There are other related yogas to this called,

Khala Yogas, and Maha Yogas.

 

This raises to infer that the 'interchanged' planets create an affinity between

them and in their respective main and sub period of Vimshotri Desa they act in

favour of each other irrespective of occupational negetive, if any, responses

between them.
