Thanks for your valauable views and the example from mahabharatha.

 

I am giving a link ,which covers some interesting points.I do not know

how far the views on phaladeepika etc are true ,but one can say that

the author has covered the topic well.

That was a good link provided by You.

 

Both Phaldeepika and Shri Ramanji are right.

The 365 1/4 has to be proportionately translated

to the Planetary periods of the Vimsottari

Dasha from the 360 number of the days.

 

Thus 60 Ghatis Multiplied by

The Duration of the Planet in Days,

Divided by 360 Days

= No.of Years alloted.

 

Thus we have for Sun

60 Ghatis x 36 days

= 2160 Days divided by 360 days

= 6 Years.
