Dear Mr.AshwiniKumara

The navamshas and other amshas are based on lordship of grahas. For

example a graha is not exalted in navamsha but it is having navamsha

in its exaltation rashi.

Exaltation has grade and there are points of deep exaltation. Thus it

is a longitudinal position within a rashi. On the other hand navamsha

is a relationship a graha is having with a rashi, while placed elsewhere.

There is no dispute here and everyone including Raoji uses it.
