Guest guest
Dear interested list members, just thought you might like to have another perspective on this combination. Many people have Rahu with Mars, Saddam Hussein, my mum, a friend I know well, an acquaintance I'd rather not know, and Gordon Brown to present just a few. basically it expresses itself according to which house it is placed in. In my mum's chart she had her career objective thwarted by the war and had to leave her chosen profession to move to a foreign land and start again in another career. Rahu is compulsive and Mars is rash and impulsive, and certainly she was habitual in her career efforts with many factors affecting her progress. Rahu rules travel ad many jobs she undertook involved travelling around, which suited the compulsive need to be on the move to perform her 'karma' The combi defines a workaholic. Saddam Hussain's chart speaks for itself, clearly he had an obsession with keeping control through his military rulership, and will undoubtedly have been a hard task master. he obviously had compulsive habits due to the combi occurring in sixth house, and with moon all in Scorpio, so woe betide his enemies who were many and continually a source of mental and emotional aggravation to him, to the point of obsession. Another chart I have read set up for the same year as Saddam Hussain's is where the combi isin Scorpio in twelfth house, and the person had compulsive sexual perversion expressed in enjoying subjugating his sexual conquests etc the combi gives a high libido but in Scorpio it can become degenerate if the chart has other indications saying so. Gordon Brown will express his Mars Rahu combi during this Mars dasa by travelling overseas more and more particularly by the end of this year. His Jupiter aspect with Sun on the combi modifies it, but still shows there are some subconscious ego needs he has to fulfil and these connect to the religious doctrines he was reared to abide by. Mars in Leo would increase pitta dosha and combined with Rahu this result would be magnified, leading to outbursts of anger and temper if attention to the need to pacify the over heatedness of the physiology is not attended to at every turn. The native can become prone to flare ups which can affect the heart and chest region. However a nice little cure to soothe this imbalance which is most difficult to live with, is to ensure less spices in food, few if any artificial and stimulating foodstuff, moderation in all things, coolness, attention to leisure activity, balance rest with activity, expose self to natural beauty of the earth to soak up serenity and most of all do not push thing too hard for the enemy is within not without. Surround the self with calming and cooling influences at all times, cool sweet beverages are good, warm not hot baths soothe, and plenty of fluids in hot weather can also be soothing as long as they are not too sour---apple grape juice are good and soda water can be very soothing, avoid alcohol at all costs. Drink warm milk with ghee and cardamom, avoid tea and coffee which stimulate pitta. eat only fresh fruit and bitter foods such as endive chicory cucumber, lemon rind spinach and turmeric is especially good. Avoid pungent food s such as chilli onion and garlic or ginger, eat green beans, lentils, cabbage broccoli and potatoes, avoid salty food eat sweet instead and plenty of milk cream and butter----lucky you, chocolate cake is great also, but if you have kapha like me stay away..... The keyword for pitta imbalance is ''fire'' as soon as you find yourself getting angry this is the first sign the dosha is ruling and out of sync and you should reach for the honey to restore that sweet nature which is lurking underneath the fire. Consult your ayurvedic doctor for the rest. You have not been charged for this consultation but can send a piece of chocolate cake instead.................... Guest guest
Thank you I think often we forget that most problems begin within, and the remedy is simple. Jyotish is an excellent tool for helping to re balance the physiological imbalances, though of course good ayurvedic training combined with jyotish is the best path to excellent treatment, which is why many ancient physicians studied both. best wishes M - ashwinikumaras Sunday, July 15, 2007 7:18 AM Re: Rahu with mars , " Marg " <margie9 wrote: > > Dear interested list members, > just thought you might like to have another perspective on this combination. > Many people have Rahu with Mars, Saddam Hussein, my mum, a friend I know well, an acquaintance I'd rather not know, and Gordon Brown to present just a few. basically it expresses itself according to which house it is placed in. Guest guest
Dear Margaret, It is said that that shadow planets give results of the planet that they conjoin in own dasha and the conjunct planet is not capable of giving its own full results in own dasha. The results of the dashas will depend on the functional nature of the conjoining planet. The shadow planets also give results of the lord of the rasi occupied and Rahu gives results of Saturn and Ketu that of Mars, when alone. Chandrashekhar.
