Lagna Leo 15.52 degrees Mercury in Gemini 11.56.19 Sun in Gemini 13.01.53 Mercury is also retrograde. Birth on Purnima therefore Moon in Sagittarius aspecting the above 2 Planets Moon is at 08.28.17 No other planet aspecting above. The above degrees are with KP yanamsha. 6 minutes difference if one uses Lahiris. b) Please explain me the term Cazimi. Please note that above is my chart only. As Mercury is very close to Sun (within 3 degrees), I would consider Mercury to be weak due to high degree of combustion. b. Cazimi, in Arebic literally means " in the heart of the Sun " . This is a western concept and supposed to occur when a planet is with in 17' of Sun's postion. This position is believed to give great strength to the planet being one with the Sun. However, I have never come across charts with this condition to study the phenomenon in detail. In any case Mercury is very close to Sun irrespective of the relative direction of motion. Hence, I tend to believe that combustion is not affected by retrogration. Moreover why should anyone comment upon afflictions in anyone's else chart without your asking them to do so? Any good astrologer would agree that all charts have some afflictions and some helpful combinations. The degree varies. How can i stop anyone from doing so. But I normally never show my chart voluntarily on Forums, to be read,except in few cases, like this one, where an unwarranted comment came,so I said to myself let the other members comment too. Normally on Forums many members when they do not wish to come up and hit someone in public, then they give the chart of the person hit, to the hitter , so that the hitter gets the edge for hitting more, and both members than enjoy at the cost of someones personal chart.In this case too, same has happened it seems, for I had not given my chart to anyone to be read. Mercury does appear to be combust being about within 2 degrees of Sun. Chandrashekhar. Mars/Rahu/Gulika in lagna may give shot tempered nature. Sun is Gulika Bhavanadhipati ,apart from lagna lord.Thus it has a slight blemish.It is associating mercury. From my understanding combust mercury will create slight worries relating to the houses it lords.In your case the 2nd house of family/wealth/speech and the 11th house of gains.Suns association as GK lord adds to this. But as mercury sun combustions are common,one need not worry too much. Strength of Jupiter would had been helpful.Can you sing.Any similar talents. However since Mercury is retrograde and even a combust Mercury is said to deliver its results, I would not call that a very big affliction, especially as it occupies own rasi in rasi chart and friend's rasi in the navamsha chakra occupying its own rasi/house (Kanyaa/6th house), in natural zodiac, in the navamsha chakra. This is all on the plus side. However Mercury is also Gulika/Mandi pati, in rasi chart, and conjunct Mandi in the navamsha chart. Of course it cannot be called totally combusted or afflicted, as we can apparently see that I can put my points across at least averagely, so we cannot put down to the results in the native that this would make him totally mand buddhi or the like, a conclusion which generally people jumps to, when they see a deep combusted Mercury. Apart from the Budhi aditya Yoga forming in Gemini, can be considered to have the real essence of the Yoga, and the other rashis being Leo, and Virgo. Both these planets Sun and Mercury are also on the 10th Cusp, so we can call them the elevated planets. the 12th lord of denial Moon aspecting the Sun-Mer combination also reduces me to a empty pocket at many a times, but at times, makes it heavy too. I have read many years back, in Mansaagri if I remember well, that the Sun Moon Opposition, brings the man to success after much trials and tribulations in Life. (By the way Mansaagri was referred to me by a very old South Indian pundit from my grandfathers family Pundit- in South as as the best book to learn astrology from- That was 15 years back. I have in mind to read it again whenever I have some time) The latter part I have witnessed, lets wait for the former part. At least I have something to wait for, may be chasing a dream, but so what....Hope is Life. It was just a guess work(possibly educated one!). But basics if applied properly would never go wrong. I see that Mercury is indeed afflicted being in Nirriti and being varesh,pakesh,and paka-pakesh,giving labhargala on the lagna, and being 10th lord from the Moon,plays a very important role as far as intelligence, health, carrier and wealth is concerned. Your chart required rectification and I have taken rectified timings as 10:15:48 am. For you, problems can be from Vrisha,Kanya and Meena. They fall in 10th, 2nd and 8th bhava in your chart. Good thing is that Mercury is aspecting Kanya and its both the bhava arudhas. So scarcity of actual dhana(A2) and benefits theirof(A11) will be protected by Mercury. Unfortunatly Venus is not ascpecting Vrishabha and Jupiter not aspecting Meena hence there will be some problems related to spouse and work(A10). Lagnesha in MKS from the dasha rashi will create some problems in resources but Mercury in Jeeva rashi is likely to give good results. Rajayoga caused by Ju-Sa is on the dwara,7th from the dasha rashi. So trigger is required to get the effects of it. Best and simple way will be to have archana at Mahakaleshwar ujjain M.P. Paka rashi is in trikona to lagna and Bhoga is kendra to lagna. This is really very good combination. So we see that Me palys a very important role and right now Narayana is under the control of Ju,Sa,Mo,and Me. Yes Nirriti-Rudra, is what the whole matter is about.Your rectification of my birth time, almost matches my own rectification. When I sat down for rectification, I arrived at 10.15.30 But it may be 15 seconds on plus too. Since I cannot differentiate between 15 seconds predictions for this case, as almost all factors remain same, I left further accuracy. I have been interested in darshan of Mahakaal since last 1 year. After seeing this post below, I again went to Mail and checked that mark (There is one blue(Symbol) mark which shows that You have been sent reply for that mail), for reply to you, but it was not there, which ,means, it got lost in process. Since mercury represents speech and virgo rules the 2nd, she sometimes will speak a few words in a sentence backwards. It comes across as quite cute, however, probably since she is quite pretty and cute in appearance allowing her to get away with such things. She also will start a thought without presenting an effective introduction to her idea, leaving you wondering what she is talking about. She has a scientific education and is in a scientific field, but sometimes makes careless errors with her calculations. This is my first hand experience of what a combust (within 1 degree) mercury in this configuration can cause.
