Guest guest
i recently saw the hindi movie-Rudraksh ...what i understand about sanjay dutt in this movie is that he has extra-ordarnery mental capabilities and powers like he can astral travel, get visions,do tele-kinesis,time-travel to the past and get desired info he wants...........now i feel that there must be some siddh yogi's in india who might be having these extra-ordarnery mind powers after doing thier extreme tapasaya, secret meditation practices & sadhana's ....i feel most of these genuine siddh yogi's are found in high himalayas .. and i feel these siddh yogi's are even today doing thier meditation practices & sadhana's to sustain these extra-ordarnery mind powers called siddhi's........ Guest guest
Dear Vikrant ji, I don't have any direct contact with any such sidhas, and would be reluctant to trust it till I am actually encountered by such a trustworthy incident. But the point is : 1) Science is moving in such a direction that, it shows all the possibility for the existance of (or probability for the existence) of space-time continuum creating mechanisms in brain. If this is true the consciousness can mess up with any thing and the stories of sidhas could be true. [Also remember that the whole religious/spiritual texts are speaking about the same for ages] 2) There are some people like 'Satya Saibaba' sitting in some corners of India, picking up items from nowhere for the past 50 or more years and the technology and cameras fail to identify the trick behind even after all these years (except in a rare quoted one or two incidents). I think it is very difficult to hide the trick from the cameras this long, and possibly there is some real stuff behind it. [Even if Saibaba is just a magician, I have no worries, and only respect, considering the development that happen to a small willage due to the presence of Baba and the costly heart surgeries that are conducted for free in the hospitals created by Baba] 3) If consciousness, love, kindness etc are an integral part of human being; and force him to follow the same even neglecting the 'survival of the fittest' theory; then truly they should be an integral part of the total universe and an important key to the understanding of it. Science too now move in the direction of considering consciousness as an integral part of the universe itself - i.e as one of the unknown building materials. May be this list could be extended further, and for sure one thing I know is - it needs an enlightened consciousness to create veda, upanishad, geeta, bible or any similar texts. May be a film is not a proper place to pick up the idea of astral travel, get visions, tele- kinesis, time-travel etc and going madly after it is clear sign of madness and not of a balanced mind. But still the point holds that - yes, there is a possibility; some where, hidden. But if you go after gaining that capability like a challenge, for sure you are not going to get it. If somebody has it (I hope somebody may have), it came to them naturally. Different beings, different points in time/space are like different ripples in the ocean of Brahman. One who identifies oneself with a ripple on the surface of the ocean only sees things from that perspective. One who realizes, not superficially but fully, that one is actually not the ripple but the ocean itself and identifies with the entire ocean sees everything. A ripple may not see another ripple at a distance, but the ocean itself can see all ripples as its own parts. Nothing is impossible for a man who realizes his true nature. However, one who has realized the true self may not be interested in making a show of such abilities or in exercising such abilities or even in looking at them as " abilities " . Such a person's attitude may be totally different from that of an un-realized person who just fancies all those as " abilities " and is curious about them. It is also possible to have some such abilities without being self-realized, but that is an unwise pursuit. A true jnaani pursues nothing but knowledge of self. When the knowledge of self comes, knowledge about everything comes as a result. After all, everything we perceive is a limited manifestation of Self, while Self itself unlimited. On the other hand, one pursuing some specific thing may succeed in getting it. But it will only bind one further. Only knowledge of Self liberates one. Guest guest
Hi Vikrant, How are you doing? I have seen you asking interesting questions so many times. I haven't seen this film so can not say what siddhies are shown there. But some of which you mention are very easy to get. The real clever trick is to know how to go about getting them. There are two methods. You know somebody who has these powers and you learn from him.. But why should he teach you his secrets?? Another method is that you are doing lot of intensive prayers and meditations and then you learn how to go about getting them. But you know again there is some real clever trick involved here. You learn this only with experience. . I doubt very much if Sadhus in a cave in Himalaya are trying to get them. These are child's play. These type of Siddhies are big boys toys. So many times Spiritual Teachers say to their immature followers, these are no good and give other warnings. But having them and using them is many times real fun. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. lol LaxmiNarayan Vikrant <free_for_blue wrote: i recently saw the hindi movie-Rudraksh ...what i understand about sanjay dutt in this movie is that he has extra-ordarnery mental capabilities and powers like he can astral travel, get visions,do tele-kinesis,time-travel to the past and get desired info he wants...........now i feel that there must be some siddh yogi's in india who might be having these extra-ordarnery mind powers after doing thier extreme tapasaya, secret meditation practices & sadhana's ....i feel most of these genuine siddh yogi's are found in high himalayas .. and i feel these siddh yogi's are even today doing thier meditation practices & sadhana's to sustain these extra-ordarnery mind powers called siddhi's........
