Venus is a yogakarka for my chart and exalted(Vargottama) though in gandanta.Being karaka of vehicles it should be positive for this business in my case.(Not sure if it is) Would karaka for used cars remain the same? I would be grateful if the esteemed members can have a look at my chart and advise if it is the correct thing to do. Attached is my birth chart in jhora format. Further Venus had been exalted a month back and is now transiting throu Taurus which should have strengthened this thought. Also, you are at the end of Venus-Ketu antardasa before Sun dasa starts in September'07. Since you are aware of astrological principles, I would put these questions before you: Sun is 3rd house lord in the 9th house - will it let you sustain in this business? Sun's house will have the movement of Saturn in a few months with Ketu thereby creating negativity there. Will the 4th house planet (Saturn) give good results in the third house? I dont think so, at a time when it is at war with Ketu. Shukra is weak, though it and creates Malavya Mahapurush yoga and is also ruler of vehicles including the used vehicles. Yet, it casts a debilitated aspect on the 4th house that rules vehicles. But it is to be noted that 4th house rules own vehicles and Shukra being in the 10th house in exaltation (being the karaka of vehicles) promises own vehicles yet the 7th house is to be seen for business. Jupiter the 7th lord is in 6th and in retrogression right now i.e. 12th from 6th house therefore not very positive for starting a business venture. Keeping the above points in mind, I would suggest that you please remain away from business right now but may think of getting into something when Jupiter moves into Sagittarius and Sun dasa starts. In any case it will certainly give some new beginnings. In any case, due to the rising interest rates people may go for used vehicles as it seems to me currently. You may also think in this direction by doing this business on someone else's name as well - that can be a way out. Other learned ones may please comment if they feel so. Can you tell me if this business would be profitable for me?or if i should take any extra care before jumping into it. You have made an interesting observation pertaining to my D-9 lagna. It has been rectified by Visti and Sanjay ji as well.I am neither a singer nor I have highly pronounced writing skills.The reason I stick with pisces lagna is due to the below given factors: 1.Moon as AK in lagna points to association with royal family and my family has that. 2.Venus in lagna would give some artistic abilites i think.I won a calligraphy competition in school. 3.Mars and Jupiter in kona should give logical or sports abilities i guess.I have been pretty good in sports throught out my school and college.Captained school cricket & soccer team,member lawn tennis team.Member of university soccer team. 4.Represented India in Chess( in addition to winning many state level competitions and particpating in nationals) which could be either due to Mars in Kona or ketu in kona( fast in calculations). I have given these points because I myself sometimes have doubt about my D-9 lagna even though it has been rectified. I am not sure if the aforementioned reasoning for having d-9 lagna is correct or not and prehaps you can comment on the above points. Waiting to hear your inputs. This shows that service will dominate and you will do very well in your career. The 7th house of business has Saturn in Taurus which can show part-time work in a Venusian field, namely vehicles. This is supported by Venus conjoining A7 in Leo. These combinations however pale in comparison to the planets in the 1st house which are far stronger. Nevertheless, the approaching Sun dasa will have to give its results in promoting your own enterprise (10th lord in 9th house of freedom). Now about profit... Look at the 11th from Arudha Lagna in Rasi to see which areas you can gain money from. I don't see Venus there. Mercury (trading) is somewhat there due to the parivartana between Sun and Rahu, however in Dasamsa it is 8th Lord in Lagna showing debts coming to you. I would advise you stay away from these money making schemes on the side as they risk interferring with your career. You have to examine karmastan 10th house. For next 6 years (Sun dasa), you will struggle without much success. Moon dasa (2nd lord in the 2nd) will dawn a new era of success, prosperity and happiness. Your Venus is excellent, but your horoscope is correct only if there was nothing spectacular during present Venus dasa despite her being strong.
