Little dog's chart

Hi Everyone

My little dog Tsange is limping today and I am not sure how serious it is.

His chart details are:

22 June 2000 17:15 BST latitude 53N48 long 1W38 with 1hr Daylight saving or else

16:15 GMT. 19 11 Libra asc

His chart shows problems with feet due to Pisces on sixth of injuries and ruler

Jupiter in eighth house of accidents, with malefic Saturn. It is his right rear

foot which is hurting him, (anyone any ideas on how to see front and rear legs

from a chart?)and Pisces is in right side of chart for right side of body.

He hurt his foot yesterday I think, he may have done this in the car.

Interestingly his Muhurtha for yesterday was tarabala Janma which shows danger

to body. He also has transit Mars in Capricorn fourth of vehicles aspected by

ruler transit Saturn, but his lagna lord is Venus (also ruling vehicles) which

is currently in sixth house of injury.

Interestingly yesterday I had acupuncture treatment and my right leg needle was

so painful I eventually had to ask the doctor to take out the needles, and I'm

wondering if my little dog is coming out in a sympathetic response, or else I

was having one for him!!

What I would like to know is will my little dog recover quickly from this injury

or will I need to take him to the vet for further examination to diagnose a

deeper more serious problem?

Today I have given him lots of reiki to see if that helps.

Thanks for any insights

best wishes M

Dear Margaret,

Sorry to know about your dog's problems. I would think the reason has to

do with Saturn's presence in the 10th and aspect on the 12th bhava of

the chart, in transit. We could also look at the rear legs from the 5th

and 9th houses, if we use the logic of 3 and 11 for the hands so

naturally 5 and 11 for the rear legs of a four legged animal. But I do

not think we should do that. Suffice for us to look at front legs as

hands of human beings and rear legs of the dog as the legs of human

beings. I would suspect that the hind left foot of the dog is harmed and

he could also be having a bit of problem in the Knee region. The reason

of pain of the right foot could be caused by favoring the left leg and

what is called the sympathetic pain. Is that a possibility? May I know

the breed of the dog? Dachshunds are usually prone to back problems

which could also appear as problems in legs.

Take care,

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Chandrashekhar

Thank you for your reply, and yes I was thinking that perhaps it made sense to

look at the front legs as 'arms' so to speak, so I am glad that you think so

too.

He is a Tibetan Terrier.

I think he may have a knee problem also. He is six years old now and perhaps

some ageing is setting in at this stage. He has been using his left leg more

than the right due to the injury, I didn't walk him so far today so he could

rest the leg a little, and he didn't complain about not going for his usual

walk.

He seems a little better now. I was unsure of whether something serious might be

there. He has been licking the paw a lot, and tells me not to touch it. I can't

see anything unusual about it, but like you say there could also be a knee

problem causing other effects.

Thanks once again for taking time to look at the chart I really appreciate that

best wishes

Dear Margaret,

Please check up his paw hat he does not allow you to check. There could

be some injury to the pad or some sort of inter digital cyst that could

be reason for the pain. That is a frisky little breed and can hurt their

paws sometime in the enthusiasm of playing and pursuit.

Hi Chandrashekhar,

You are right about the pad being vulnerable, and I suspect that it is the

central pad which might be to blame, but I hadn't thought of it being a cyst.

He is very playful and frisky as you say. I will keep a watchful eye for lumps

and swellings, though at the moment it does seem to have gone down and is less

heated.

Thanks very much for your help in this

Dear Margaret,

Anything I can do to help lessen a dog's suffering, is always a

pleasure. I am sure in no time he will be his normal self.

Take care,

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Margaret and Chandrashekhar,

I've never witnessed 'pet jyotish' before! This was very interesting! Thanks for

posting this Margaret. Hope your dog is better soon.

My cat is a stray...so what does one do for stray pet charts? Is prasna the only

way...or

date one received the stray animal?

Just curious. She has had occasional problems over the past 3 years with urinary

tract

infections. Seems fine now--but just wondering how jyotishi's handle these

matters!!

All the best,

Lien

Dear Lien

I know there are pet lovers on the list which is why I posted the chart, so it

is nice that you raised the interesting question of how to set a chart for a

stray.

I think it must be difficult to establish a time of birth for the cat but some

on the list do remarkably well with finding correction times, and prasna should

still work also.

What year was your cat born? Do you know?

best wishes

M

Re: Little dog's chart

Dear Margaret and Chandrashekhar,

I've never witnessed 'pet jyotish' before! This was very interesting! Thanks

for

posting this Margaret. Hope your dog is better soon.

My cat is a stray...so what does one do for stray pet charts? Is prasna the

only way...or

date one received the stray animal?

Just curious. She has had occasional problems over the past 3 years with

urinary tract

infections. Seems fine now--but just wondering how jyotishi's handle these

matters!!

All the best,

Lien

Hi Ramapriya

Thanks ever so much for sending that, I missed a few of the Cruft shows on TV so

didn't get to see this dog win.

My little dog is just as gorgeous but is black

where Willy is sandy coloured. They are the only dogs with a smile. They also

have a strong emotional nature and are very happy little creatures..

Tibetans were bred by monks to guard temples and were given in pairs to members

of the aristocracy as a sign of good luck.

If you look at my little dog's chart you will see a strong presence of four

planets in ninth house which say a lot about his heritage. Tsange has a well

developed conscience also, and if he hurts accidentally while playing he will

stop immediately and bow his head or try to comfort you and say sorry.

best wishes

M

Dear Lien,

Yes . Prashna would be only way out. Hope your cat does not suffer

again. I understand that there are prescription diets for Pets with

renal complications. Perhaps " Hill's Pet " and " Pedigree " , both have such

diet and I am sure so does " Royal Canin " . May be, you can try them under

vet's advise.

Take care,

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Margaret and Chandrashekhar,

Thanks for considering my cat's health. She must have very good karma to have 2

very

good jyotishis caring about her health and her chart! Certainly, not a common

thing for a

stay cat! :)

She is very strong willed (of course, she is a cat) and she WON'T WON'T WON'T

eat wet/

canned food. She refuses and has gone a couple of days without eating if not

given her

dry food. We have even tried cheap grocery store brands--can after can--because

the vet

said wet food causes less problems.

Another idea was to get a water fountain since some cats will drink more with

flowing

water--I have not gotten this yet.

When we got her it was either Aug 24 or 25 of 2004 and the vet estimated that

she was 2

years old. She was actually in a friends home for a while but did not like being

with other

cats! She is the one and only Queen!

Her UTI tract infections came each year in August --2005 and 2006 I think.

Finally, they

think they found the right anti biotic to get rid of her particular strain of

bacteria--so,

hopefully, she will be more under control.

The good news is...she love us and we love her. When she was first with us she

bit and

wouldn't let anyone pet her--Now, she melts in our arms.

I wonder if any great Jyotishis reading our list ever imagined we'd be writing

about the

charts of cats and dogs! Oh well. I think I heard that Arjuna and his brothers

had a dog

named Dharma!

Who among us can see ownership of pets (male or female?) in a human chart? They

certainly bring us our karma

too!

For me, its funny. I used to REALLY DISLIKE cats....

Maybe they come to us to show us an aspect of our personality that we have been

avoiding

to recognize. Of course, there are animal associations in our signs and

nakshatras...

So, to all who find this thread foolish--

we can get back to study of the jyotish of some superpower or tennis hero!

All the best for now...

In Humor between eclipses,

Lien

HI Lien

You note:

So, to all who find this thread foolish--

we can get back to study of the jyotish of some superpower or tennis hero!

Actually I do have to point out, in line with the current threads of sport

talent, that my little dog is also a very good goalkeeper............is

excellent at dribbling the ball upfield, and can head the ball sometimes with

more accuracy than David Beckham. He can also run off with it thus foiling the

opposition's attempts at power and control. What more could you want from a

super hero? Have you seen his ninth house, and Rahu in tenth as ruler of fifth

moon stands him in good stead also. I think the vargottama Ketu in fourth--the

sportsfield, aspected by Mars combined with mercury and venus and sun, is what

gives him this talent.

He only drinks rain water, and spring water when we go walking, it is much

softer and doesn't have additives.

Your cat sounds like she has got you well trained to her liking now, hope she

stays contented and happy

best wishes

Re: Little dog's chart

Dear Margaret and Chandrashekhar,

Thanks for considering my cat's health. She must have very good karma to have

2 very

good jyotishis caring about her health and her chart! Certainly, not a common

thing for a

stay cat! :)

She is very strong willed (of course, she is a cat) and she WON'T WON'T WON'T

eat wet/

canned food. She refuses and has gone a couple of days without eating if not

given her

dry food. We have even tried cheap grocery store brands--can after

can--because the vet

said wet food causes less problems.

Another idea was to get a water fountain since some cats will drink more with

flowing

water--I have not gotten this yet.

When we got her it was either Aug 24 or 25 of 2004 and the vet estimated that

she was 2

years old. She was actually in a friends home for a while but did not like

being with other

Maybe they come to us to show us an aspect of our personality that we have

been avoiding

to recognize. Of course, there are animal associations in our signs and

nakshatras...

So, to all who find this thread foolish--

we can get back to study of the jyotish of some superpower or tennis hero!

All the best for now...

Dear Margaret,

Thanks so much for your post! Your little dog sounds so talented and he

certainly also has

a gift for making his owner very proud and pleased to have him as a companion!

I am serious when I ask if it is possible to see this pet in your chart as one

would see

children in another persons chart? Certainly this is a relationship that you

treasure and

focus a lot on.

My sister-in -law has many pets. people always look to her to get rid of animals

they were

sorry that they bought. Have you studied the charts of many serious pet owners

to see

how these tendencies are manifested astrologically?

Dear Lien

I think this is an area which is much undeveloped, though there are some western

sites now which focus only on pet charts. I'll try post the addresses privately

when I come across them or you can do a Google search.

I don't know how to see the love of animals in a chart, though did share posting

some years ago with another member on the list in connection with bird

significations, especially owls. The Moon, Venus and Rahu were key planets

involved as well as placements in air signs.

I do think Rahu and Ketu play a major role however, though can't provide

definitive samples to prove this unfortunately. Certainly for cats I would

expect Simha and Sun to be featured largely in relation to connection with cats

especially, and for other creatures perhaps Venus, planet of affection, and

Moon planet of emotions or else fourth ruler playing a contributory role.Don't

forget also

Mars/Aires is ruler of ram/sheep, Taurus/Venus of bulls/cows, and Sag/Jupiter

rules horses, so already we have many significations to play with. It is just a

matter of extrapolating references to creatures from the classics such as

Parasara, Brihat Samhita and others which do make mention of animals and birds

and other creatures in our world.

I did a chart recently for someone who bred dogs, and can't remember what

significations threw this up, as I didn't know tat was what she did until I read

her chart and saw it, I do recall it was a Rahu connection though. I haven't

had time to research this further sadly, though clearly there is huge scope for

this kind of analysis.

I do know that the most important feature for my little dog's chart which helped

in understanding his nature and temperament was the yoga he was born under. The

interpretation correctly predicted that he is mischievous, enjoys teasing and is

a lover of women. Too right! From an early age he has been able to attract the

attention of any woman around. Once as a puppy, on the beach, he ran off and

ended up surrounded by admiring women all around him, and he just sat there with

a huge smile on his face looking as though he was in heaven. He is also

mischievous as often, when I get up to walk into another room, he bounds up

behind me and encircles my ankles to round me up.

I wish I had more time to look at this in greater detail, but am pleased that

there are other astrologers who are also interested in including this most

important aspect of astrology in their work.I am also pleased that

Chandrashekhar took time to look at the chart for me.I also think that many of

the health problems we can see for humans can be seen in animal charts just the

same, it is reducing the dasas by the correct ratio which would also enable us

to time eras of ill health. Perhaps one day programmes will enable to do this

automatically. I just read Tisane's chart again quickly today and saw he needs

to be given his glucosamine now as he is likely at his age to start with knee

and joint problems as Chandrshekar pointed out.

It is also interesting to read the Zend Avestha which was written by the

Zoroastrians, and is a beautiful treatise on how to care for dogs especially,

which they worshipped considerably as part of their culture and respect for a

divine being. I expect the Egyptian culture says more of cats though.

best wishes

Margaret

Re: Little dog's chart

Dear Margaret,

Thanks so much for your post! Your little dog sounds so talented and he

certainly also has

a gift for making his owner very proud and pleased to have him as a companion!

I am serious when I ask if it is possible to see this pet in your chart as one

would see

children in another persons chart? Certainly this is a relationship that you

treasure and

focus a lot on.

My sister-in -law has many pets. people always look to her to get rid of

animals they were

sorry that they bought. Have you studied the charts of many serious pet owners

to see

how these tendencies are manifested astrologically?

talent, that my

little dog is also a very good goalkeeper............is excellent at dribbling

the ball upfield,

and can head the ball sometimes with more accuracy than David Beckham. He can

also run

off with it thus foiling the opposition's attempts at power and control. What

more could

you want from a super hero? Have you seen his ninth house, and Rahu in tenth

as ruler of

fifth moon stands him in good stead also. I think the vargottama Ketu in

fourth--the

sportsfield, aspected by Mars combined with mercury and venus and sun, is what

gives

him this talent.

Dear Margaret and Lien,

Generally, there is an influence of Saturn on the chart (Lagna) of the

person keeping a Dog and the 6th house is also involved. If Venus is

also involved it could indicate buffaloes (and I suppose all milch

cattle). Others I shall have to find out.

Chandrashekhar.

how right you are in your observations shri chandrashekharji in my case. saturn

in libra casts its 3rd aspect on mars the LL and also the 6L in my case. i was

so fond of pups and dogs. even now i do, but observe them only from a distance!

i was bitten by 7 different dogs at 7 diff times (all belonging to my

landlady) and went thro those 14 injections course often. but my love for them

never diminished. it was as if i could perceive what they wanted to convey. i

would imitate the sounds they made and played with them after school time to the

extent that i would consider school time as a bore!

the faith, the joy in their eyes, the wag - not just the tail, it would look

like the entire body was wagging the tail on seeing me. the trust which the

mums had in me - she would let me alone touch the pups! it was pure joy when it

all lasted.

my boys while young, were bringing in many abandoned pups as they too shared

my love for dogs. but the motherly protective nature was working overtime and i

dint allow them to play with pups or dogs for the fear that they would get

bitten like me. i dint want that to happen to them. but we do discuss and

share a lot of these stories and articles about dogs and generally animals.

thanks to margaret, lein and all others for bringing this up.

Hi Chandrashekhar and Lien and others interested in this thread,

I just managed to take a very quick look at the chart of the lady who bred dogs.

The planets which made me say she would do so in Saturn Mars dasa was the aspect

of Saturn in ninth house Cancer, on Mars in eleventh of Virgo. Mars, conjoins

Venus and rules sixth and asc, while Saturn conjunct Mercury rules third and

fourth. Venus disposits Rahu, and I do associate Rahu with dogs specifically for

some reason long since forgotten but still applicable!

best wishes

Dear Margaret and Lien,

Generally, there is an influence of Saturn on the chart (Lagna) of the

person keeping a Dog and the 6th house is also involved. If Venus is

also involved it could indicate buffaloes (and I suppose all milch

cattle). Others I shall have to find out.

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Mahaluxmi,

Thanking you for confirming that in at least your case my observations

appear to be correct. I am sure you did not allow your children to play

with dogs due to your own experience, though personally you still love

dogs. That is really great.

Take care,

Chandrashekhar.

Re: Re: Little dog's chart

Dear Margaret and Lien,

Generally, there is an influence of Saturn on the chart (Lagna) of the

person keeping a Dog and the 6th house is also involved. If Venus is

also involved it could indicate buffaloes (and I suppose all milch

cattle). Others I shall have to find out.

Chandrashekhar.
