I think time should be adjusted just a bit to get vargottama simha lagna. I am sure it is the sat-Jup Maha-Antar that propelled him to the top of the tennis ranking if I am not mistaken. I think till Mer- ketu end he would be a force to reckon within Tennis, but from Venus antar he may suffer a setback. By the way, besides a liking for watching the game, I do not know to which age players play in that game. Shani -guru can be a fruitful raja yoga. 5th and seventh lord can be technically be a raja yoga but shani is 6th lord as well so I will discount that. What are your views on this. if we did not this to be Federer, would this chart look like of someone famous and sucessful. It is very hard to get such authentic data and your efforts in this regard are laudable. I hope you will excuse this intrusion. Saturn is sixth lord and in Dagdha Rasi. This is akin to a Vipreet Yoga. Moreover Saturn is in the nakshatra of Yogi - Moon. Moon is in Saturn's exaltation sign and 3rd house. 3rd house is of excellence in sport. Saturn will behave as a powerful yogakaraka in such a case. However, I agree explaining something that we already know is easy. So let us come to Mercury Mahadasha. Mercury is in the 12th house with Rahu, Gulika and Sun. Mercury is an Avayogi. An avayogi in a dusthana is good. During this time period, I would think that he can have doubts over his own abilities. He is likely to lose in some important tournament unexpectedly and then rise back again strongly. In Saturn dasha, he is considered to be far ahead of the competition. In Mercury dasha, he might not able to stay so far ahead. He is likely to stay ahead but with narrower margins. He needs remedies for Surya and Rahu. More so of Surya devta. Lagna,is 17 degrees 25 minutes or so.For Vargottama Lagna,i feel natal degree has to traverse back 45 minutes -needing 3 minutes less of clock time.This is not a big difference but,from the procedures that i have seen over here,birth time is recorded by nursing staff,upon visibility of full body of the baby.Clocks are radio controlled. Mala yoga from 11th to 3rd is understood by me as very significant - planets acting as a team and in relay.10th Lord in lagna & Moon/Ve in 3/11 etc are important Rajayogas. Lording 6th and 7th is a concern -but it is a Yogakaraka from Chandra Lagna & chandralagnadhipathi is in Lagna.Venus apart from being the 10th lord,is Amatya karaka as well. From Mithuna(Karakamsha lagna) RY forming Jupiter and Saturn are placed in the 4th.(I count always w.r to rashi dispositions). In Sa/Ve (98) he became world junior number 1.Sa/Ra was good - Atp ranking number 1(2004 feb) - Rahu joins lagna lord ,placed in karka which is 10th from chandra and has attained kanya navamsha - considered as good for rahu. Certainly from lagna as well as chandra lagna shani-guru can not be classified as rajyoga. I am still not sure about how did a person rise to such heights with this chart. If we did not know it was Federer could we predict such high profile for this native. At a first glance does not look like a great chart. Yes there are Dhana yogas but nothing spectacular. Yogakaraka Mars is in shatru rasi Mithuna. Guru is not in a friendly rashi. Shani is yogakaraka from chadra rashi but shni is not strong and is 12th from chadra. Lagna lord is in 12th and afflicted with Rahu. There are as many bad points to this chart and good ones are not that obvious. Lagna lord though in 12th from lagna is in 10th from chandra joining 9th lord.Rahu joining kona lord in a kendra from chandra involving lagna lord is another point. I remember someone mentioning(shri manjunath sharma?) about planets in the 12th giving fame. Hope Chandrashekhar ji will give more inputs. His Mercury Mahadasha-Venus Antar begins about 31st Dec. 2010. Venus Antar Venus pratyantar should be good and lasts till 19.6.2011. It is followed by Sun pratyantar till 9.8.2011 and being the lord of lagna it should be good. So I think Venus Antar Chandra Pratyantar that begins after this, and lasts till 2.11.2011, will see his Sun setting on tennis horizon. Perhaps in the Month of September. So the burnout appears to be around the age of 30 for him. But then I could be totally wrong and only time will tell what happens then. Chandrashekhar. Yogakaraka Mars occupies the 11th bhava indicating learning and fortune being responsible for his income. Again we see Sambandha between Jupiter the 5th lord and mars the Yogakaraka as mars aspects Jupiter and also the 5th house. Then we have a triple exchange by reason of Sun occupying rasi of Moon whose depositor Venus occupies the rasi of Sun. So three grahas act as if placed in own house. You will also see the lagna lord Sun and 5th lord Jupiter both occupying trines in Navamsha and getting strength therefrom. The Yogakaraka mars is in 8th house in the navamsha. The 8th sign is Mars's own rasi in natural zodiac too. So all the Dharma trikona lords are in strength here, though that is not apparent at first glance. I would say he trained very hard to achieve what he did as the 5th lord Jupiter is in strength. Even if we technically say it is a rajyoga it is of a third rate variety. Yes from chandra , shani is yogakaraka, but guru is a malefic. I honestly can not see this chart to be of a superstar. The good points have to be searched for deeply and there are many negatives. I am not sure how potent is mala yoga and how common or uncommon it is. Lagna lord in 12th afflicted with rahu. Shukra in enemy sign, guru in not a friendly sign. Mangal in enemy sign. Navansha may improve the picture but it can not supercede the rashi chart. Again, if we did not know this to be Federer would we predict a super star status here. Vijaydas mentioned about shukra and moon in 3-11 as rajyoga. I am not sure where is this mentioned. Again, there are many charts who have shukra and moon in 3-11. None of them are strong from whatever angle you look at them. Some people are suggesting that Shani is D-10 lagna lord so he rose to prominence. Lagna lord of D-10 can give results of 10th house but the strength is derived from rashi chart. There is something in this chart that we are not able to see, from all the known parameters we have or I am aware of, this looks like a very ordinary chart. Imagine that you do not know who the person is, can we predict sucha high profile career for him. Can we even predict a Sports career for him ? They do not impinge upon the principle given by Parashara which says that trikona is Lakshmi sthana and kendra the Vishnusthana (if memory serves me right) and coming together of their lord result in a raj yoga. The two are different parameters. this has nothing to do with position of planets from Moon. You will know about different malayogas in any standard text. Lagna lord in 12th can also indicate that a person earns his fortune in distant lands, especially as the 11th lord also tenants the 12th bhava and Rahu can indicate income from foreigners. You can also find that two of the trishadaya bhavas are occupied by Malefics. So this is certainly is not an ordinary chart, that is certain. What is certainly being missed is 10th lord in lagna indicating fame from own efforts. That and strength gained by trine lords from navamsha appear to be, tome, the reason of his success. But I am sure he has put in a lot of efforts to reach this position and it must not have been served to him on a platter as the 3rd lord occupies the lagna. Chandrashekhar. You will also find Saturn and Jupiter not only with each other but aspecting each other's rasi which is an even stronger sambandha than that with Mars. Sun, Moon and Venus are in triple exchange as against direct exchange of house with similar results.
