Shri Darshaney Lokeshji.

Jai Shri Ram!

<Sri TV Shiv Raman is also informing many many Pujaris and Pandits of

the South. Shri Sai Srinivasan has already introduced celebration of the

important festivals according to SMKATPÂ in 30 Temples, under his

reach and control>

I think you should add the details in your SMKATP both in Hindi and

English as to why a Tithi Patrak should neither be sayana nor nirayana,

giving the mathematcial reasoning that as per modern astronomy as well

as the sidhantas

it is the longitude of zero or 90 or 180 or 270 degrees of the sun that

results in the four cardinal

points viz. the two solstices and two equinoxes known in the Vedas as

the Ayanas and Sampat/Vishuvas and it has nothing to do with the

nomenclature of rashis, whether so called sayana or so called nirayana!

The mathematical details will clarify that the declination of the sun is

zero when its longitude is either zero or 180 and it is maximum, either

north or south, when its longitude is either 90 or 270 degrees.

The declination of the sun, in fact of all the bodies moving around the

sun, are directly related to the inclination of orbit on the equator

which was known as parmaakranti in the sidhantas. It was known as

parmaakranti, because the declination of the sun (actually the earth),

whether north or south, can never exceed the inclination of the orbit to

the equator. This restriction of declination not exceeding the degree

of Inclination of orbit is applicable only in case of the sun/earth as

that alone has a zero degrees latitude for all practical purposes as

its apparent path itself is known as eclptic, and any distances above

or below that ecliptic are known as degrees/paralells of latitude North

or South!

My hats off to the Vedic seers who had grasped these fundamental

geographical/astronomical facts and described them in a pithy manner in

the Vedanga Jyotisham which trend was followed by Paitamaha and

Vasishtha Sidhanta, as is evident from the Panchasidhantika!

It was actually only Maya the mlechha who introduced this Rashi mess in

India through his Surya Sidhanta with the result that we forgot the real

aaynas and vishuvas and Madhu, Madhava etc. Vedic months and started

chanting makar and mesha sankranti etc. mantras instead!

Satyam eva jayate nanrtiam, is a very old saying as it is based on the

Vedas. Since the calendar reform is on the track of satyam, and in

spite of all the hurdles being created by " asatyam " people, the Vedic

calendar will be back on the track sooner than later. Pl. rest assured

about the same.

Jai Shri Ram!

.. . .it is just two hour before, I got phones from Mathura Sammelan.

Having taken good note of my patrak, two saints have commended my

efforts . They were  expecting  me there, somewhere, in

the crowd.
