This is not quite right. Sri AKK has a problem with one of the

subjects (phalita jyotisha specifically), which he opines is not

really a part of the Vedic system - which does not amount to

maligning the culture or scriptures. I too disagree with him, but

that is not important. To disagree is different from questioning

someone's intentions. He has not just been critical - he has been

working to establish what he thinks is right.

The following messages from Siva Emporium will make it clear that

this chap is either a fake id of Avtar Krishen Kaul who is here only

to malign Hindus and our great Culture, or one of his chamchas

created to garer public support and donations ( Read one of his

messages below ) , exactly like missionaries do. See every message of

this fellow has just been pointing towards creating factions,

miunderstandings, confusions about the traditions of our Grea

culture. Look what he has written and let the blood keep boiling for

such anti Nationalist people.

Panchanga is: Thithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana.

Can anyone elucidate what for yoga and karana are used?

In Tamil Nadu apart from the yogas given in the panchangas there is

sidda yoga, amrita yoga and marana yoga. What are the significance

of these? Especially I cannot understand what is the karna purpose

In homas that are done at domestic level cowdung cake is used along

with idma. I do not find any reference or permission to use cowdung

cake in homas in the domestic ritual manuals. The manuals clearly sy

that the place where homa etc is done should be smeared with cowdung

(sthala suddhi). I do not think that in North India

they use cow dung cake. It is noticed mostly in the south.

When was this pratice started and what is the basis of the same, is

there any shastric sanction for this?

matching their horoscopes for compatibility in marriage?

We do see that many many parents run after jotishis to

match their children/s horoscopes before marriage.

 

Does this not indicate that horscope matching is a big humbug?

request Sri Avatar Kishen ji and other learned members from the

group to implede themselves and support the state government to

make the year beginning from the Uttarayan day (winter solstic ) on

December 22/23 so that it will confirm to what Avatarji has been

pleading for time and again. For such an effort if any financial

contribution is needed i will be glad to offer my share.

I am sure there will be like minded people in the group.

The so called jathi brahmins may perhaps say that the other people

have no right to learn veda. But no boday now a days prevents anybody

from learning the veda. If anyone wants to learn he is free do it.

 

As for me I would like tevery jathi Brahmin to atlest adopt another

cate child (boy or girl ) and teach him the rudiments of veda/mantra

etc m if he is proficient in it.

It is a pity a large majoirity of the Brahmins have not red the

vedas and they do not know what they contain.
