Hi,

I thought about it long ago and wanted to write sometime. Now I think is

the right time to say this.

Any science / art etc. that deals with future cannot be 100% accurate or

true. Astrology is also a science or say a super science which deal with

enormously complex things that needs to be predicted (Human Life is so

complex if you view it from a top view there is education, parents,

health, mind, relationships (friends, spouse, brothers, sisters...),

effects of place, diseases, wealth, house, travelling, different people,

beahviour and so on...and people expect that astrologers should be

correct 100% of the time. It can not be so.

I give you the following examples other than astrology which deal with

future. Think and observe do they come true 100% of the times.

1. Weather Experts - For very short duration, they can be accurate

because they already see the wind that will be there in your town in

next day or two. Also, it is very limited study as compared to astrology

as there is a different pattern. Even if you are not a weather expert,

you can tell that it woule be cold in december, january and so on. Also,

there is a very set pattern of weather so predicting is comparatively

easy. Try asking some weather expert a definite question like what would

be the temperature in missisuaga on 2nd october, 2010 and his prediction

can also fail. Or like people ask astrologers about definite things like

when will I become father or so on. Ask him when it will rain 8cm next

year or when would be the speed of wind north west 50 mph in toronto..

2. Financial Experts - Who make predictions about market. The world has

recently seen the impact. Also, I would like to re-emphasize that the

data here is again limited as compared to astrology of human beings. The

data of the company is mostly about profit, loss, EPS. PE ratio. I mean

the data is almost precise and the people who analyze them have access

to this information whereas astrologer deduces on your birth time and

birth place. Now say for e.g. you are not an astrologer and you know one

person (say your family member) for last 25 years. Now you can predict

about his job or growth, because you know his temperament, knowledge,

skills etc.

3. Career Counsellors - People who advise children about their future

careers by taking MBTI type or holland codes. There is a good margin of

error there also.

4. Doctors - Surprised!!. They also do some anticipation (not as much as

other three examples do). Say a very brilliant surgeon. Can he tell when

he will fall ill in which year, though he is well versed with the

anatomy of the physical body. I have seen doctors saying don't worry you

will be good in 3 days and due to some allergic reaction or medicine not

suiting, the case becomes worse. Even in case related to heart attacks

etc, sometimes there is 180* degree turn. I have seen in my close

relatives case, that doctors from the very premier and prestigious chain

of hospitals told that my relative would be good in another 3-5 days and

unfortunately, he died (though they did all the tests, treatment and

blah blah)

5. Economists - Ask them about the world econonmy or economy of any

particular country for the next 10 years and see if results tally 100%.

6. People who predict about different industries about their growth.

Recenlty 6 months back, there was article from DGCA stating that there

is a huge shortage of pilots and other airline persons in India and you

know the reality now.

There are lot others that I can think of from all walks of life. Pick up

any thing that deals with future and see if they all come true.

Conclusion: Wherever there exists any thing / theory / application that

deals with future, it cannot be 100% accurate. Ofcourse, you can find

somethings in very limited environment / or very short distance in

future that they can tell accurate. (for e.g. it is very cloudy, one can

say ok it is going to rain today nd I can tell it 99% of the time)

Astrology like other sciences is a study of patterns and deriving

conlusions / inferences from them. Ask any intelligent person (who has

never studied astrology) to do the following.

1. Take 100 charts of the persons, who died due to heart attack at the

age of 70. This is somewhat tough process, but the details like this can

be obtained from hospitals (say a cardiac specializing hospital)

2. Present the chart to the person.

3. Ask him to find the pattern.

4. He will find some pattern, not much

5. Now tell him basics of astrology, very limited basics (about 9

planets, 12 houses and lord of various houses in various houses / signs)

and tell him that fourth house and its lord is realted to heart.

5. Now again ask him to find the pattern using this information. He will

definitely see more patterns.

What we did in the above example, we limited our research just as it is

in other sciences.

There is nothing wrong for astrologers to for predicting wrong. It is

just a way to learn more and improve upon oneself.

Wherever there is something to be checked for future, definiteness

cannot exist as it is known only to Bramha and we can just apply our

techniques and we *predict*. If the happening was known to be happen /

exist, the word " prediction " would not have been existed.
