Resp Kaul ji and members,

Namaskar,

I am reading arguments and counter arguments on my blog " Astrology a

science or myth " , wherein I raised some questions about the basic

principles for predictive astrology. I find that discussion in many

forums is diverted in various directions. Like :

 

Wheter Manu supported predictive astrology or not.

Wheter Varahmihir followed Greek system or not

Wheter Rasi, planets are in Ved or not

Wheter astrology is practiced in during Vedic era or not

And so on……………

 

But main point which I want to emphasize as to how basic predictive

principles like sign lord, aspect etc. were formulated, as they were

formulated on primitive concept of universe, stationary earth and so

on……

 

Thus we have to decide that what will be material change if say, manu

has supported or not supported or varahmihir followed greek or not

and so on.

 

Either we must say that if it is supported by manu or supported by

Ved and so on then we will not question about the foundation of the

principles and blindly follow what was being followed by our

ancestral. If it is so then why these supporters of ancestral

knowledge following the concept of solar system, round and movable

earth, galaxy, and moon is orbiting earth and it is nearer then sun

and so on which is quite against with the concept of ancestral.

 

I think we are wasting our energy in deciding as to who has borrowed

the knowledge greek or our sages, whereas it makes no difference,

because we have to find as to whether principles of predictive

astrology is correct, useful, foolproof or not instead of who

borrowed. As we continue to argue that law of motion was devised by

Bhaskar or Galileo or by Newton. It makes no difference so long law

of motion is correct. It has only historic or nationality importance

as to who has formulated it. But so far its use is concerned we can

simply use it till it is correct and amend it if there is some

mistake or forget it if it is not useful. Very simple.

 

Thus it is not going to make much difference as to whether Manu has

supported predictive astrology or not and so on. Main point is this

that whether principle is correct in view of modern concept of

universe etc. or not, and how these principle were formulated. What

was the information, which was available to the formulator (sage or

some one else), what information was used for formulation, what

procedure was adopted by the formulator, how result of these

formulation was correct how result of these formulation was not

correct, what was the necessity to amend, modify or introducing new

set of rules in the form of say KP system, western system and so on,

How they were able to forecast socalled correct prediction when they

do not have correct longitude of the planets, concept of longitude

and latitude, no system of correct assessment of time, without any

concept of ayanansh and so on.

 

Thus if we will find the answer (hint of which has already been

provided in the blog and detailed in book) then only members will

realize the correct status of astrology that it is bogus.

 

I am time and again asking various similar questions and instead of

direct answer, members are either silent or indulge in nationality of

the principles along with blind faith.

 

Thus now I am putting very simple thing that when our sages have the

concept that Earth is stationary, Sun is near to the Earth Moon is

above the Sun, Stars are below the Mercury. Narak is in patal lok

below the Earth and Swarg is above the Saturn…. Dhruv. All movable

objects are alive and deity, then definetly any improvement in the

knowledge can only be based on best use of the then such information.

If we are able to make computer then we are just using the best

available information. But in future we will get some more

information and accordingly we will make some other system. Thus only

available information can only be used for any formulation.

 

So far name of sign is concerned not a single member or forum has so

far given any answer as to how name of sign was decided by sages or

greek or some one else. So let me now be very clear that these sign

were initially originated by Babylonians which were extended and

modified by Greeks and adopted by our sages who were also armed with

the name of 27-28 constellations during interaction with Greek

civilization before 300 BC and Sikandar was attracted towards Indians

knowledge and well being. Thus all signs have Greek impression

otherwise members can come forward with there arguments as to why our

sages have named sign on Aries (Meda), Cancer (Kenkada), Scorpio

(Vrashichik, Bichhu), Sagittarious (half man half horse), Capricorn

(half magar half goat). Because these symbols or noun or livingbeing

has no importance or slightest mention in any scriptures relating to

Ved, Puran, Boddh or Jainism (these were Indian concept or religion

etc.) and our sages could have used the name of Om, Swastik, arrow,

elephant, horse instead of half horse, owl, peacock, cow instead of

bull, Trishul, snake, Lotus, Durga instead of virgo and so on.

 

Thus it is clear that sign was created by Greeks and adopted by our

sages for using them for predictive astrology after formulating

predictive principles in the form of sign lord etc.

 

I hope members will now come out from the tunnel of silence and come

forward and centralized their discussion to find truth. Do not think

that some body will come forward to teach you and do not think that

businessman astrologers who are also members in the forum will come

forward to destroy their business. If you are on the receiving end

and being exploited by the astrologers then you have to come forward

for saving your-selves. As mahajan of a village who is lending money

to poor farmers is not interested that farmer may be educated

otherwise his business will be destroyed. So mahajan will always try

that villagers may be uneducated and may have faith on his account

book so that he may continue to cheat and exploit them. Thus

illiterate villagers have to think for learning to save their money

and land. In the same way if members want to learn some thing then

they have to come forward and learn some thing to save their money

and self confidence other wise members are free to serve themselves

in front of cunning astrologers with blind faith for exploitation.

 

I hope members will share their views and I will try to answer every

question.
