I remember the times withe the GOI wanted to introduce a course in Astrology. I read and interesting article on the practical difficulties.. Here is what i remember

 

Introducing a course on vedic astrology is almost impossible if we assume that astrology is possible, for the reasons later described. On the other hand if Astrology is not true then there is no point in wasting time on this !!..

 

Problem 1)

 

How do you select the students?

 

Solutions Have an entrance exam and do not declare the location/ time nor compile a set of questions, those who are present on their own will be preselected.

 

Ho do you conduct and exam

Well the results are never declared. if you pass You ought to know!! if not just sit for another round of exams till you " Know " you passed

 

How do you evaluate research in astrology??

 

Since now every grad student will know what and how he / she or any one else is doing, a degree in recognition is invalid as every body too arrived at the same conclusion!!. So there is no Intellectual property involved in Astrology!!!. and since there is no creativity involved how do you evaluate it ?

 

And yeah assume that astrology works then You really dont need to teach cause you already know who are your best students and the best thing abt this is that if they are good students they are already aware of their potential and hence need no more schooling !!!

 

HEHEH, with the above arguments it can be said astrology education is meaning less if it works , and if it dosnt then also it is meaning less.. So y bother as they already know!!!
