The size of the mounts will determine their ability to interfere with

the infuence of other mounts. The line and their tributaries'

influence and its speed will be dependent upon their depth and

clarity. The signs on the lines will act like islands; therby

disrupting their flow. The liNes and also the tributaries will bring

the influence of the mounts and the area through which they flow

alongwith them. It could be both benefic and malefic depending upon

the nature of the mount and the area traversed.

The point coming to my mind after reading this farmaan, that the

rekhas play a very important part. They carry the effect of the

mounts or we can say that rekhas act like the carriers of effects of

Mounts.

What are mounts?

We call them the 'Burjs' or Pakka Ghars of planets. That means the

effect of Pakka Ghars carried to the life cycle oh a human by the

rekhas or in astrological terms ???????.

Nirmal Jee, Pucca ghar is a fixed place. For example, in a hand, the mount of Jupiter has a fixed place (underneath the index finger.) This particular characteristic of a hand will never change ever whether it is your hand or my hand. Similarly, in a horoscope the pucca houses have been fixed. However, the planets may or may not be in their pucca houses. There are as many as twelve different places that a planet can be in a chart - it could be its own pucca house or someone else's pucca house, or an enemy's or a friend's pucca house etc. etc. Running of the lines from one mount to the other (in a hand) is how the effect of one planet is transmitted and mixed in with other planet or planets (mushtrka grah) or "....doodh mein khaanD kee tarah." In the horoscope, the effect is transmitted through the aspects (drishti.) In a chart: (i) the drishti or the aspect and

(ii) the placement of the planet in a particular house serves the same puropose as the line(to "mix" the effect.) But these "lines" of aspects are not visible to the untrained eye whereas an seasoned LalKitabist will draw conclusions from the imaginary aspecting lines. Pandit Roop Chand jee has described this with an example of lamps being placed in different houses and how their light (roshnee) can go to the other house and by how much percentage and in what direction. (Lal Kitab 1952) This is the same effect as the "rekha" or lines. Best regards. Thanks Bhatia Ji for this comprehensive detail regarding the effect

of rekhas and mounts. The doubts are cleared now.

(Lal Kitab 1952) This is the same effect as the " rekha " or lines.
