Respected Members,

Now we have Gutka in Urdu available for all the members.

Any body who knows Urdu as well as Hindi and English can come forward

for a noble cause.

There are nine planets. We want to have the full transliteration

available in Hindi or English of these nine planets first. The

combination of two or more will be taken up later on.

I wish that any nine members should come forward to give page

wise transliteration of at least one of the planet in 12 houses in

either English or Hindi. The tranliteration shall either be hand

written then scanned or may be the as computerised typed Doc. file.

With this meagre help, we will able to give complete correct copy of

the book free of cost to the members who don't know urdu. The

discussions will be more healthy and to the point. We have already

provided details of 12 houses and Grah drishti in Punjabi to all the

members and the Hindi version of the same will be uploaded shortly.

So the Planets are given Below

Jupiter

Sun

Moon

Mars

Venus

Mercury

Saturn

Rahu

Ketu

'Kaar Seva (Charity Work)' is on. Nine Slots are available Any nine

members can come forward quickly.

Hope for best response.

Yours

Nirmal Kumar Bhardwaj

Nirmal Jee, I wish to volunteer for this work. I can pick up the planets and can start with Jupiter and will provide you both with Hindi and well as English transliteration. For English transliteration, I would like to specify some rules so that we can distinguish between hard 't' (like in tomato) or soft 't' (as in tasveer) and similarly, other sounds that are not defined in English language. For Hindi, I use freely available Braha software in which you can type in English (this software has excellent and easy-to-follow rules for Hindi-Urdu specific sounds) and convert this into devnaagariee script. Then, I export the Hindi page into Word and create a Word document. Sounds complicated, but it really is not. I think if all the transliterators follow the

same rules, at least when it comes to English transliteration, it will be simply wonderful. I'd be more than glad to post what I have found to be really un-ambiguous and almost perfect rules. Let us first discuss the rules to follow before we jump into the English transliteration. I will also try to post a couple of sample documents (first two pages) from the 1939 LalKitab soon. Anyways, I am your first volunteer, if you accept me. Respectfully, Rajinder Bhatianirbhar <nirbhar wrote: Respected Members, Now we

Respected Bhatia Ji,

Thanks for encouragement. It is good begining. I also read the the

sample from your other mail.Unfortunately the attachment is not

allowed by the .The members feel obliged if it is uploaded in the

files section. Any members can upload the file in the file section

for the other users.

I feel every member shall note down the rules suggested for english

transliteration.

You have suggested the Hindi transliteration software. I also want to

suggest some softwares and give few links for the Hindi tensliteration

softwares.

1. Itranslator2003 from Onkarnand Ashram freely available at

http://www.omkarananda-ashram.org/cgi-bin/download.pl?file=i2003

2. Hindi Pad from http://Itbix.Com. It is an excellent software and

not so costly. Just Rs.355/- In India comes with 20 free fonts. I have

been using it. One can download trial version from there.

3. Some Hindi Fonts like sanskrit99, AmarHindi, Gurbani hindi, shusha

are freely available, that can also be used in the word processors.

But dont forget to embed the fonts in the document.

Best Regards
