Respected Kulbir ji,

Yes I got that. But what I was asking is that on page 30 of 1952 ed

there is a table giving time blocks of the day and night for

planets , like the one you have said. But along the margin of the

table on all four sides , specific time slots are also given eg "

baje ka arsa .... and so on " . Now in this demarcation the time

between 3 pm to 4pm has not been accounted for. The details of time

allotment given on page 7 of Arun sanhita { under the table } also

doesn't account for the time slab of 3 pm to 4 pm.

However Goswami & Vashishtha in their translation have added this

slot to Venus. In the original, Venus has been given the time slot

of 1 pm to 3 pm ; where as G & V have made it to 1 pm to 4 pm { page

70 }

I heard from an astrologer , not very reliable , that this time slot

of 3 pm to 4 pm is for mangal nek.

Thats why the confusion.

with regards and naman to all gurujan,

BHUWN JI,

don't you think that the time of rising and setting of sun varies

according to seasons. in that respect isn't it inappropriate to fix

time slots. i feel it better to use it according to the din ke hisse

than fixing time slots. what is your opinion about that. i rely

heavily on your opininon and like in past please guide regarding this

also.

Respected Laiba jee,

[ 1 ] Res. Kulbir jee has earlier given the details of ' din ke

hisse' ie which parts of day & night fall under the influence of which

planet.

[ 2 ]The day time is further devided into time slots for each planet

{ but there is a controversy on this issue ref : my earlier mail}. I

am giving the breakup as given in the book on page 30 :

[ I had asked that time slot between 3 pm and 4 pm is not accounted

for in these details. ]

with regards and naman to all gurujan,
