Dear Val,

 

[ 1 ] Gift them to any one you think is needy.

[ 2 ] Yes, it should be poured on the side onto the bare ground.

[ 3 ] Yes, you can offer at your own pooja sthan, and whenever you

visit the Temple, go and place the offered material in the temple.

You can use a round copper piece instead of Gur.

[ 4 ] If ever there is an apprehension of a break in the upaya, one

should keep at home a few grains of rice rinsed in milk. This will

ensure continuity.
