Dear Learned Members,

In common parlance injuries and accidents are seldom

differentiated. To the best of my understanding,

accidents would involve another party; injuries,

strictly speaking could be sustained on own account,

none else being involved in the same. With this small

background how would one distinguish between the two

in a given chart. Also, how to judge the cause of

sustaining wounds in each case due to, say:

1. Firearm

2. Sharp weapon such as sword, khukri etc.

3. Bamboo, stick etc.

4. Falling from a building or tree

5. Travelling in a transport such as bus, car, ship

or aircraft that meets with an accident

There could be numerous other causes which can be

listed. Injuries/ death could be due to armed

robberies, during riot and arson, due to police

attrocities, during war...

In case the event causes death, both badhak and marak

houses would be involved, in addition to 2 and 8th

cusps.

Could someone provide the guiding clues?

Grateful for your support.

Regards,

Amitabh

Dear Amitabh,

Very good question indeed...

The VIIIth cusp needs to be studied in great depth...begining from the nature of the sign etc., upto the sub-sub level...its nature and star position etc.

If the Dasa/Bhukti/Antara lords are significators of I,V & XI...then death can be ruled out...and the chart investigated for cause of Injury, whether it is Life-threatening/Grievious ...if the s/l of VIII signifies I,VI,VIII & XII and the accident can be Life-Threatening...

The involvement of Mars, could well show a violent blow, due to a fall or injury with a lot of bleeding...and along with Saturn it could indicate a cowardly, stealthy, murderous attack...If Saturn alone is invloved a delayed/lingering death can be fore-told...and so on...

The nature of the Sign the VIIIth cusp is posited in Airy/Earthy/Watery will indicate the mode of death...

The further analysis of the sub-lord and the sub-sub lord of the VIIIth,together with all the above could enable one to fine-tune and arrive at the cause and nature of death fairly accurately...The Association of Moon/watery Sign could indicate death by drowning...and so on...

The subject raised, although very interesting, however,is too large to be discussed at length here...

Our Revered Guruji, the late KSK, had advised us students to avoid predicting death...as far as is possible, hence I must confess, I had neglected studying this aspect in depth, hence my knowledge and experience is in this field is fairly limited...which,by the way, is the more important reason to stop here...

With best wishes,

L.Y.Rao.

GOOD LUCK !
