Stotra too is a stuti/prayer ending with " I bow before thee " ... in other words I come to your shelter. Both these forms are used to appease a planet. Beej mantra is normally used to invoke a planet. Whenever I feel that a planet is to be strengthened, I suggest the beej mantra to invoke it first and another upaya to strengthen it. Sir, I would trouble you on another issue.Since my father's demise I have got chronic insomnia.It has been more than a year now and after effects on me and my family are unexplainable. Rahu here can cause sleepless nights. Therefore: [ a ] keep under your pillow a little saunf in a thaili of red cloth. [ b ] Keep in the north east corner of the house 4 haldi ganth in a brass bowl. During the previous year { 54th year } Rahu was in the 8th house, once again a bad place to be in. Therefore it is not surprising that you have had sleepless nights for a year or so.
