Dear Milu,

 

[ 1 ] You should not remove the almonds. Let the pujari remove them

and do whatever he wants with the almonds.

[ 1 ] The rinsed rice to be kept at home to maintain continuity can

be of any kind. Yes you can feed the rice to the birds.
