Guest guest
Dear Miglani Ji,You have done Very hard work and put the results of foriegn birth. Accept my Compliments also. I cannot give immediate comments on the calculation part because I have not checked it so far.I am running very busy these days due to my job requirements. I request other members to take the motivation from Miglani ji work. Miglani Ji, I will take up the Task given to you by Kalsi Ji as you have already done too much work. Have my compliments. we can declare the results now but let other members post their results. I request Nirmal ji,Bhooshan Ji, Trivedi Ji,Tyagi Ji and other members to give there views . this will encourage Miglani Ji and other members to do work in future. It is not off by mere degrees, it is off by signs [ rasi ]. I have verified the Sarini for two places south of Equator and two places north of Equator. I am giving the calculations here for every one to verify. At places I have rounded off the last figures. Although I have been careful, still there might be a slip or two in the calculations. I would do the necessary corrections if brought to my notice. Case # 1 Date : February 8, 1952 Time : 3:17 AM [ - 4hr west, no DST in 1952]Place : Santiago, Chile ; [ 70 W 40 ; 33 S 27 ] Difference between Madras time and Santiago time = [ 70W40] + [ 80E15 ] = 150 d 55' = 10hrs 4minutes Therefore converting 3: 17 AM Santiago time to Madras time = [ 3:17 Am + 10hr 4m ] = 5: 13 pm of February 8th [ date has not changed ] While doing this step one has to be careful about the date change Therefore the birth time for which the Lagna is to be worked out is 5 : 13 pm Madras. In the Sarini on February 8th the Ascendant Cancer rises at 3:15 pm and sets at 5 : 37pm The duration of the lagna is 2hrs 22minutes. The Lagna moves 30 degrees in 2hrs 22 minutes or 142 minutes. Therefore it moves 1 degree in [ 142 /30 ] = 4 minutes 44 secs. Now we have to work out how many degrees would the Lagna move in [5: 13 – 3:15] or in 118 minutes. If it takes 142 minutes to move across 30 degrees, how many degrees would it move in 118 minutes. Through proportional value given above the Ascendant at Madras comes to : = 24 Ca 56 Assuming that the value achieved is at Ayanansh 23 degrees therefore the correction for the 1952 ayanansh has to be done. [ 24 Ca 56 ] – [ 0:12 ayanansh corr] = 24 Ca 44 Lagna at Madras time = 24 Ca 44 The actual Ascendant achieved through a software is 18 Sa 01 This is for every one to see, the sarini gives the lagna at Kark 24 d 44 , where as the actual lagna is Dhanu at 18 d 01 Case # 2 Date : February 22 , 1962Time : 3 : 10 PM [ + 2 hrs east , no DST ] Place : Cape Town , South Africa [ 18E22 ; 33 S 55 ] Difference between Cape Town and Madras 4hrs 8min Converting 3:10 PM Cape Town time to Madras we get = 7: 18 PMLagna for 7 : 18 pm on Feb22, through the Sarini comes out at = 2Vi45 The procedure to work out the lagna has been explained in the previous case. Ayanansh correction [ 2 Vi 45 ] – [ 0 : 20 ] The Lagna at Madras time = 2 Vi 25 The actual Lagna through the software comes out at = 28 Ta 29 Once again the sarini gives the lagna at Kanya 2d 25 where as the actual lagna is at Brishabh 28 d 29 IMPORTANT : The lagna for all places south of Equator will be hugely wrong. When the Lagna for places in the south latitudes are worked out through the Ephemeris than two corrections have to be made, one of adding 12 hours to the ST and the other adding / subtracting 6 signs to the lagna acquired. Since the Sarinis are calculated for a particular longitude and latitude the two corrections mentioned above cannot be made. There is no known method to apply those corrections to a sarini. That is yet another reason why a Sarini should not be used for places beyond the region it has been calculated for. Case # 3 Date : March 12, 1972 Time : 10 : 41 PM [ + 1 hr east, no DST ]Place : Oslo , Norway [ 10 E 45 ; 59 N 55 ] Difference between Oslo time and Madras time = 4 hr 38 min Converting 10 : 41 PM Oslo time on March 12th to Madras time we get: Madras time at 3 : 19 AM March 13th [ the date has changed ] The Ascendant through the sarini works out at = [ 5 Cap 38 ] – [ 0 : 28 ayanansh corr] Lagna at Madras time = 5 Cap 10 The actual Ascendant worked out through a software is : 11 Li 33 The huge difference is for all to see. The sarini gives Makar at 5 d 10 where as the actual Lagna is at Tula 11 d 33 Case # 4 Date : March 22, 1982Time : 4 : 43 PM [ - 5 hrs west; no DST ] Place : Ottawa , Canada [ 75 W 42 ; 45 N 25 ] Difference between Ottawa time and Madras time is = 10 hr 24 min Converting Ottawa time of 4 : 43 PM to Madras time we get : Madras time 3:7 AM on March 23rd [ date changes ] The ascendant for madras time 3: 7 AM on March 23rd through the Sarini is ; = [ 13 Cap 14 ] – [ 0 – 37 ayanansh corr ] Lagna at Madras rime = 12 Cap 37 The actual ascendant through the software comes to : 21 Le 21 Once again notice the huge deviation. The Sarini gives lagna at Makar 12 d 37 where as the actual lagna is Sinh 21 d 21 Respectfully, KP Miglani Forgot the famous last words?
