Guest guest
Greetings to moderator and group. Thank you for responding. To elaborate on the question refeered to in message 10185. According to the book that is in my possesion the CHART of FRIENDSHIP AND ENMIYY OF PLANETS : there are three classifications that a planet falls under, planets will be classified as: 1. Friendly planets 2. Enemy planets 3. Planets of Neutral or Equal Powers example. Jupiter is friendly with Sun, Moon and Mars Jupiter is enemy to Venus and Mercury Jupiter is equal in power or is nuetral to Saturn, Rahu and Ketu so, if Jupiter was exalted in House #2 which he owns in a birth chart and moves to House #10 which is owned by Saturn in the annual chart since both Jupiter and Saturn are classified to of equal or nuetral power how will this house effect the planet? will Jupiter become debilitated? will Jupiter remain exalted? How do I determine the effect on the native particularly when the question arises that if the planet in House A is exalted the planet in House B will yeild exalted results or other planets that are melefic will become benefic on account of this planets status. I thank you most graciously for your wisdom and insight.
Guest guest
JLineBrooklyn: Let us take the case of Jupiter. As a general rule of thumb in Lal Kitab system, Jupiter may be considered a benefic in the 2nd house and possibly a malefic in the 10th but not for sure. As you know, LalKitab specifies both exalted as well debilitated effects for Jupiter in the 2nd as well the 10th houses. You have to make a judgement based on aspects and positioning of other planets in reference to Jupiter (or any other planet under consideration.) It is possible for Jupiter in the 2nd (in the janma kundali) to be a malefic if, for example, the 8th house is debilitated. An ill aspect from any other house may also spoil Jupiter. On the other hand, Jupiter in the 10th, can be exalted if (just one example) Mars, Sun or Venus are in the 4th house. There are additional conditions which may make Jup 10 as exalted (Please consult LalKitab.) If a planet is benefic in the natal chart, there is no guarantee that per annual progression, it will remain a benefic. For a particular year a benefic may become debilitated (and vice versa) because of positioning in the annual chart. No planet ever constantly remains benefic or malefic - it goes through good and not-so-good cycles. Otherwise there will be no challenges and variety in our lives. In a nutshell, consult LalKitab and see what other aspects are affecting the planet (both in natal as well as during annual progression.) Lal Kitab, when describing results of various planets in various houses, has already done the homework for us - houses of friends, neutrals and enimies have all been taken into consideration. No planet yields results, good or bad, in isolation - it is heavily influenced by aspects etc. A complete picture (horoscopes - natal and progressed) must be evaluated before any pronouncement/decision is made. Any decision based on just one planet (or planetary position) is likely to cause erroneous results. Respectfully, Rajinder Bhatia jlinebrooklyn <jlinebrooklyn wrote: Greetings to moderator and group. Guest guest
Dear Shri J Line Brooklyn, Exaltation is not synonymous with beneficial, similarly debility is not synonymous with malefic. They are technical terms and therefore not interchangeable . In traditional astrology exaltation or debility is a Rasi specific term. In the Lal Kitab these two terms are house specific, taking the houses to represent the Rasi. Therefore Jupiter will be called exalted only in the 4th house and not in the 2nd house. In the second house it will be termed as being in its pakka ghar and not exalted. Similarly Jupiter will be considered as debilitated in the 10th house only. Here the 4th house is taken to represent Cancer the Rasi where the Jupiter is exalted and the 10th house to represent Capricorn the Rasi where Jupiter is debilitated. Similarly, The Lal Kitab considers the sun as exalted in the 1st house { corresponding to Aries } and debilitated in the 7th house { corresponding to Libra }; or moon exalted in the 2nd house and debilitated in the 8th house and so on. In this way the houses of exaltation and debility are fixed for all planets corresponding to the rasi of exaltation and debility. In the Lal Kitab the word for exaltation is uchcha and for debility neech. Where as for benefic the word used is nek and for malefic manda. These terms are not interchangeable. respectfully, KPMiglani lalkitab , Rajinder Bhatia <rajinderbhatia2002 wrote: > > > JLineBrooklyn: > Let us take the case of Jupiter. Guest guest
Dear Shri KPMiglani, Thanks for correcting me - I used malefic - deblitated and benefic - exalted as being the same. I will be careful in the future. Thanks again for keeping me honest.
