However, the black magic need not be as omnious as you are writing. For eg., you can transfer your bad luck to some body else provided their chart is weak, by presenting a particular thing to them. similarly, eating food at shraddhams can be detrimental to some people. these things have got nothing to do with the elaborate kshudra tantrik rituals you are mentioning. My cousin was extremely good in studies, sports, debate etc an all rounder. In 1987, one of his (so called friend) who was extremely jealous of his success took him to his home and offered him something blackish to eat, he said that their GURU had given this for him(my cousin) to eat, just as if he was hypnotised, he ate it all although his throat was getting choked and dried. It was in a substancial quantity and he ate it all. He forgot about it and never told to anyone. From then onwards things started changing, once the mind which was so sharp is no more the same. He finds his mind chocked. He remembered about this incidence (that the friend gave this black thing to eat ) only in year ~ 2002 / 2003 when he narrated all . What do you feel would be its remedy. One should certainly not eat at Shradha Bhojans, unless it is of close family members.The other point You mentioned for weak planets for ex.when Rahu is bad, one should not accept Blue clothes or electrical goods from in laws (As mentioned in lal Kitab). Astrologically speaking,Fixed Lagnas (Ascendants would be strong)and not vulnerable as the other Lagnas specially watery sign in the ascendant. Those with strong Sun,Moon and Benefic aspects to the Ascendant would not be easily vulnerable to ill effects or black magic or evil eye. Those who have this combination of planets in second house , we should try not to make them angry and curse us, for that would be a black tongues curse. One lady who was jealous of my sister,she gave my nephew something to eat with some rites done on that substance which spoiled his health and made him suffer in all ways for 7 years continously. These incidents remind us that One should never accept anything to eat and drink at anyones place unless we know he is a real well wisher.Many people in the garb of sweet language and smiling nature, do this, and specially the children are the targets. I want to make it clear that I do not mean any offense and neither do I question whether the yoga is right or wrong, lest my intentions are misinterpreted. I mean a lot would depend on the lagna rising and owner of a bhava besides their placement in a bhava and mere placement in rasis may not give the yoga,. For example, if the lagna is Leo and Sun occupies it, with Jupiter the 8th lord being in Cancer, would the yoga still operate is something that has to be thought over. If this yoga appears in a text then there must be some additional parameters that perhaps are missing here. I remember a yoga for abhichar where involvement of Ketu, in 6th, is commented upon in one text, if memory serves me right. I think it is Jataka Parijat, but not certain. I would offer these thoughts... 1) Just as EVERY LIFE as a purpose, so doees every chart. 2) It is somewhat unconstructive, IMO, to label a chart as " good or bad " . From my practice I almost never use such labels. 3) EVERY CHART shows " work to be done " . In that sense there's no " lucky " chart. Everyone has past-life karmic problems to be worked on, every chart has tools to accomplish that. End of story. While it's 100% true that some charts do seem to be a jambalaya of stress and challenge, I find that in those cases the native almost always has TOOLS reflected in the chart to meet those challenges. And it's very true that " it's not where you're at but where you're going that matters " . Each native spirit is on a journey over many lifetimes. My responsibility as consultant astrologer is to help them see that journey for what it is, and to see the tools they have at their disposal. In fact, I have calculated the planetary combinations for all the 12 lagnas. Now, coming back to Leo lagna, I have not seen any chart to prove the dictum but I have seen a chart of Leo lagna that has proved the contrary. The chart had a strong sun in the lagna, with Venus and Jupiter in their debilitations and Mars in exaltation. The native has come to study astrology and I have advised him to concentrate on mantra sastra more than on astrology. Towards this, the native has narrated a story of his college days: He had a very bad fight with a keralite who threated the native with dire consequences. The keralite comes from a family of malayalee tantriks and after he went home, he tried black art on the native. But after several trails, his father has told him that it is not possible to use black art on this person and discontinued the effort since it may boomerang on the tantrik himself. The keralite had come back to apologize. Hope you are doing well. Now, sanjay rath in his book on vedic remedies talk of protection from abhicara, perhaps the right word for black art, from 9th Lord and Jupiter. If one of them is severely strong and quadrants from either of them is occupied by malefics, the native is protected from the ksudra acts of others. In this chart you would notice that mars is the ninth lord very strongly posited in his own mooltrikon, Aries. He is also a malefic sitting in a Quadrant from Jupiter. so far as luminaries are concerned, the moon is no doubt strongly placed in a good star uttarashadha in pisces, a friend's and fruitful sign but it happens to be 8th house, giving some affliction since moon in 3rd or 8th are not so preferable.
