Guest guest
Friends, I think it was definitely bad judgment on my part to have forwarded Anil Jee's Email without checking with him. I offer my sincerest apologies. However, his letter was unsolicited and came directly to me and never stated that this was not to be taken to the forum. I don't know him and will perhaps never know him just as most of you. Via the forum, I receive dozens of horoscope-related Emails every week. I either delete them or advise them to post their Emails on the forum so that others can see/participate in these. Many do and some don't. Every now and then, depending upon the availability of time (which I very sorely lack) I do reply and Anil Jee's happened to be one of those cases which I forwarded to the forum without thinking about it. My apologies again. Where did the issue of "back stabbing" or "making fun of" BhooshanPriya jee come, I don't understand - maybe I don't understand the meaning of the phrase "backstabbing" as used by Trivedi jee. I have a lot of respect for the selfless service that "PriayaJee" is providing and to answer Trivedi Jee's query - No, I can't match her feat of answering dozens of Emails per day. I simply neither have the capacity nor the time. Plus my method of analysis is very different. I cannot suggest a remedial measure without first verifying the accuracy of the horoscope and further, before ascertaining (based exclusively on LalKitab principles) whether the planet in question is acting as a malefic or a benefic. Any other methods reduce LalKitab to a list of remedial measures and we can prescribe those measures in wholesale. I've always said this directly and very emphatically when "Priya"Jee was a member of this group and I will repeat this in her absence also - I disagree with that approach whether it is taken by her or by anyone else. {Please see an example of my technique like the one that I recently applied for Mr. MCGupta's horoscope who had been suggested absolutely wrong upayas by some LalKitab "expert." } As far as BhavSpashta technique is concerned, I DID and I will continue to disagree with that when applied to LalKitab. And here is why: I went back to various horoscopes (including my own) which have been, in the past, validated thoroughly (and extremely accurately by Pt Roop Chand Jee and Pt Som Dutt Jee) and applied the parameters used by Priyajee (Rahu-Ketu plus the chalit/bhavspashta modifications.) Most of these pre-verified and validated horoscopes become radically different and DO NOT match the real life happenings when "refined." For example, my own highly benefic Rahu, Ketu and Jupiter become absolutely useless. Rahu goes from the third house to the second and via aspects etc. becoming a big malefic and Ketu from the ninth to the eighth - which does not match my real/actual life. To tell me that after years and years, my highly predictable benefics such as Rahu, Ketu and Jupiter have suddenly gone malefic would be an impossible sell. Similarly, most of the other horoscopes also become deformed when refined with Bhavspasht (including the real life examples given in LalKitab text.) Bhavspasht may be a great technique in Vedic astrology but not in reference to LalKitab. Please be sensitive to the fact that there is a huge difference between Sun+Mercury+Venus in the seventh house (as modified by Priyajee) versus Sun+Venus in the sixth house and, Mercury in the seventh house (in reality) - this is what has been presented in Anil Jee's horoscope. Where was any analytical technique ever applied by Priya Jee to verify this huge anomaly? Or, for that matter, where and when has she ever applied any analytical technique to verify the validity of her assumptions? This is a very fundamental issue - be you a LalKitab purist or a fusionist - just think rationally about this point forgetting whether Rajinder Bhatia says this or Priya Jee says this or LalKitabee (Pt. Shulka Jee) says this. This disagreement, I've always had with Priyajee - this is nothing new. In my Email exchanges (where reportedly "unhon ne meree boltee band kar dee") I had raised exactly the same issues but she side-stepped the direct issues and played with the semantics and linguistics, at which point I decided that it was not worth my time to pursue this issue. And in the peanut gallery, there was perhaps a big cheer "hamara pandit jeet gaya." As far as the theory behind the upayas is concerned, (coming to the Coin burning upaya) I very specifically and clearly mentioned in my email that mine was a guess, I never tried to be "authoritative" about it. Priyajee gave her own explanation (which may have been correct or incorrect - none of us knows) and absolutely trashed me for what was just somewhat of an educated guess work. Pt Shukla Jee observed the other day that we are still trying to learn the "abc" of this system but at times, we think that we know enough to explain the rationale behind the "xyz" without ever understanding the "abc." Another issue raised by Trivedi Jee was my "failure" in which I had said that pouring milk over fire is to "chandra ko nashT karna. " As far as I can read (and I can read Urdu fairly well) that is what LalKitab states in its 1942 and '52 editions about Sun in the sixth and the seventh. Priyajee didn't agree with that - that's her prerogative but LalKitab's original books that I have, state so very clearly. Again, I decided to let it go and let some people laugh at my expense. As far as the issue of fire significator is concerned - I quoted LalKitab by edition, page number and line number (based on which I had guessed at the background of the coin upaya.) Priyajee, as usual, disagreed despite the exact quote (went short of saying that the author was wrong) and then she used all the metaphors that had been used for Mars to prove her point that Mars is THE karka of fire. Again, the peanut gallery seems to have cheered very wildly. But I had a hearty laugh at the whole situation because I had, on purpose, (quite mischievously, I must admit) supplied only partial though correct information and withdrew from the discussion after seeing the level of understanding prevalent. The reality is that different types of fires are represented by different planets. It is there in LalKitab for all to read and obviously many people seem to have skipped that chapter. This has become a long-winded email yet I decided to not only tender my apology to Anil Jee but also, try to set the record straight. Please read my rationale dispassionately and decide for yourselves. Or, at least explain to me why I should think that my own Rahu, Ketu and Jupiter have switched sides after fifty plus years of working predictably well (per LalKitab) for me because a "refined" and more "mathematical" scheme has been discovered? Please remember that this spashta stuff was always there - before even LalKitab was written and, had it been applicable, Pt Roop Chand Jee would have incorporated it in his system. This is like using petroleum in an old kerosene lamp because petroleum is more refined. However, remember that its flash point is very low and it can explode in one's face quite easily. My apologies again for a long email. Respectfully, Rajinder Bhatia Start your day with - make it your home page
